Required suggestion on below part.please any one give solution.
We have mapping from 850 to FlatFile
X12/PO1Loop1/PO1/PO109 and I need to map to field VALUE which is under record Option which is unbounded.
Split PO109 into substrings delimited by '.', foreach subsring after the first, create new Option with value=substring
So in input sample we have value like 147895632qwerqtyuui.789456123321456987
Similarly the field repeats under POLoop1.
So I need to split value based on (.) then pass a value to value field under option record(unbounded).
I tried using below code snippet
public string SplitValues(string strValue)
{
string[] arrValue = strValue.Split(".".ToCharArray());
foreach (string strDisplay in arrValue)
{
return strDisplay;
}
}
But it doesn't works, and I am not really familiar with the String methods and I am not sure if there's an easy way to do this. I have a String which contains couple of values delimited with "." .
So I need to separate values based on delimiter(.) and pass value to field.
How can I do this
As I mentioned, not too clear what is your objective, but I think you want to split a node that has some kind of delimiter into multiple nodes... if so, Try this: https://seroter.wordpress.com/2008/10/07/splitting-delimited-values-in-biztalk-maps/
He is doing exactly that. Given a node with a|b|c|d as value, output multiple nodes, each containing the value after splitted by |, so node1 = a, node2 = b, node3 = c, node4 = d.

// I have a custom metadata object named boatNames__mdt and I'm using two methods to get a list of picklist values in a String[];
First Method
Map<String, boatNames__mdt> mapEd = boatNames__mdt.getAll();
string boatTypes = (string) mapEd.values()[0].BoatPick__c;
// BoatPick__c is a textarea field (Eg: 'Yacht, Sailboat')
string[] btWRAP = new string[]{};
**btWRAP**.addAll(boatTypes.normalizeSpace().split(','));
Second Method
string[] strL = new string[]{};
Schema.DescribeFieldResult dfr = Schema.SObjectType.boatNames__mdt.fields.BoatTypesPicklist__c;
// BoatTypesPicklist__c is a picklist field (Picklist Values: 'Yacht, Sailboat')
PicklistEntry[] picklistValues = dfr.getPicklistValues();
for (PicklistEntry pick : picklistValues){
**strl**.add((string) pick.getLabel());
}
Map with SOQL query
Map<Id, BoatType__c> boatMap = new Map<Id, BoatType__c>
([Select Id, Name from BoatType__c Where Name in :btWRAP]);
When I run the above Map with SOQL query(btWRAP[]) no records show up.
But when I used it using the strl[] records do show up.
I'm stunned!
Can you please explain why two identical String[] when used in exact SOQL queries behave so different?
You are comparing different things so you get different results. Multiple fails here.
mapEd.values()[0].BoatPick__c - this takes 1st element. At random. Are you sure you have only 1 element in there? You might be getting random results, good luck debugging.
normalizeSpace() and trim() - you trim the string but after splitting you don't trim the components. You don't have Sailboat, you have {space}Sailboat
String s = 'Yacht, Sailboat';
List<String> tokens = s.normalizeSpace().split(',');
System.debug(tokens.size()); // "2"
System.debug(tokens); // "(Yacht, Sailboat)", note the extra space
System.debug(tokens[1].charAt(0)); // "32", space's ASCII number
Try splitting by "comma, optionally followed by space/tab/newline/any other whitespace symbol": s.split(',\\s*'); or call normalize in a loop over the split's results?
pick.getLabel() - in code never compare using picklist labels unless you really know what you're doing. Somebody will translate the org to German, French etc and your code will break. Compare to getValue()
I have a dictionary of phone numbers where number is Key and country is value. I want to update the key and add country code based on value country. I tried to use the map function for this:
print('**Exmaple: Update phone book to add Country code using map function** ')
user=[{'952-201-3787':'US'},{'952-201-5984':'US'},{'9871299':'BD'},{'01632 960513':'UK'}]
#A function that takes a dictionary as arg, not list. List is the outer part
def add_Country_Code(aDict):
for k,v in aDict.items():
if(v == 'US'):
aDict[( '1+'+k)]=aDict.pop(k)
if(v == 'UK'):
aDict[( '044+'+k)]=aDict.pop(k)
if (v == 'BD'):
aDict[('001+'+k)] =aDict.pop(k)
return aDict
new_user=list(map(add_Country_Code,user))
print(new_user)
This works partially when I run, output below :
[{'1+952-201-3787': 'US'}, {'1+1+1+952-201-5984': 'US'}, {'001+9871299': 'BD'}, {'044+01632 960513': 'UK'}]
Notice the 2nd US number has 2 additional 1s'. What is causing that?How to fix? Thanks a lot.
Issue
You are mutating a dict while iterating it. Don't do this. The Pythonic convention would be:
Make a new_dict = {}
While iterating the input a_dict, assign new items to new_dict.
Return the new_dict
IOW, create new things, rather than change old things - likely the source of your woes.
Some notes
Use lowercase with underscores when defining variable names (see PEP 8).
Lookup values rather than change the input dict, e.g. a_dict[k] vs. a_dict.pop(k)
Indent the correct number of spaces (see PEP 8)
I am trying to concat the value of an element based on certain condition, but unable to do so. What's wrong here?
For below given sample structure, I need to concat the value of CID based upon OutcomeCode code. Say if we have OutcomeCode as OC and PC, then we should display concatenated value of CId in a string variable.
<v4:ValidateResponse xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:v4="http://service.com/v4">
<v4:Details>
<v4:Detail>
<v4:CId>001</v4:CId>
</v4:Detail>
<v4:OutcomeCode>FC</v4:OutcomeCode>
</v4:Details>
<v4:Details>
<v4:Detail>
<v4:CId>002</v4:CId>
</v4:Detail>
<v4:OutcomeCode>PC</v4:OutcomeCode>
</v4:Details>
<v4:Details>
<v4:Detail>
<v4:CId>003</v4:CId>
</v4:Detail>
<v4:OutcomeCode>OC</v4:OutcomeCode>
</v4:Details>
</v4:ValidateResponse>
Here is my transformation
as xs:string
{
for $Details in $ValidateResponse /*:Details
let $OutcomeCode := data($Details/*:OutcomeCode)
return
if (($OutcomeCode ='OC') or ($OutcomeCode='PC'))
then
contact('CID is-',data($Details/*:Detail/*:CId))
else
fn:data('Technical_Check')
};
I am unable to get concat values.
Expected result should be like: CID is- 002,003
as these 2 meet the OC and PC condition.
You could simplify this for loop and combine the criteria into a single XPath to select the CId from Details that have OutcomeCode of "OC" or "PC".
Then, use string-join() in order to produce a comma separated value.
Then, use concat() to produce a string with the prefix and the CSV value:
concat('CID is- ',
string-join(
$ValidateResponse/*:Details[*:OutcomeCode =('OC','PC')]/*:Detail/*:CId,
",")
)
Is there any way to pass a list of search strings in the contains() method of FilterExpression in DynamoDb?
Something like below:
search_str = ['value-1', 'value-2', 'value-3']
result = kb_table.scan(
FilterExpression="contains (title, :titleVal)",
ExpressionAttributeValues={ ":titleVal": search_str }
)
For now I can only think of looping through the list and scanning the table multiple times (as in below code), but I think it will be resource heavy.
for item in search_str:
result += kb_table.scan(
FilterExpression="contains (title, :titleVal)",
ExpressionAttributeValues={ ":titleVal": item }
)
Any suggestions.
For the above scenario, the CONTAINS should be used with OR condition. When you give array as input for CONTAINS, DynamoDB will check for the SET attribute ("SS", "NS", or "BS"). It doesn't looks for the sub-sequence on the string attribute.
If the target attribute of the comparison is of type String, then the
operator checks for a substring match. If the target attribute of the
comparison is of type Binary, then the operator looks for a
subsequence of the target that matches the input. If the target
attribute of the comparison is a set ("SS", "NS", or "BS"), then the
operator evaluates to true if it finds an exact match with any member
of the set.
Example:-
movies1 = "MyMovie"
movies2 = "Big New"
fe1 = Attr('title').contains(movies1)
fe2 = Attr('title').contains(movies2)
response = table.scan(
FilterExpression=fe1 or fe2
)
a little bit late but to allow people to find a solution i give here my method.
lets assume that in your DB you have a props called 'EMAIL you want to filter your scan on this EMAIL with a list of value. you can proceed as following.
list_of_elem=['mail1#mail.com','mail2#mail.com','mail3#mail.com']
#set an empty string to create your query
stringquery=""
# loop each element in your list
for index,value in enumerate(list_of_elem):
# add your query of contains with mail value
stringquery=stringquery+f"Attr('EMAIL').contains('{value }')"
# while your value is not the last element in list add the 'OR' operator
if index < len(list_of_elem)-1:
stringquery=stringquery+ ' | '
dynamodb = boto3.resource('dynamodb')
# Use eval of your query string to parse the string as filter expression
tableUser = dynamodb.Table('mytable')
tableUser.scan(
FilterExpression=eval(stringquery)
)
I am fairly new to Scalding and I am trying to write a scalding program that takes as input 2 datasets:
1) book_id_title: ('id,'title): contains the mapping between book ID and book title, Both are strings.
2) book_sim: ('id1, 'id2, 'sim): contains the similarity between pairs of books, identified by their IDs.
The goal of the scalding program is to replace each (id1, id2) in book_ratings with their respective titles by looking up the book_id_title table. However, I am not able to retrieve the title. I would appreciate it if someone could help with the getTitle() function below.
My scalding code is as follows:
// read in the mapping between book id and title from a csv file
val book_id_title =
Csv(book_file, fields=book_format)
.read
.project('id,'title)
// read in the similarity data from a csv file and map the ids to the titles
// by calling getTitle function
val result =
book_sim
.map(('id1, 'id2)->('title1, 'title2)) {
pair:(String,String)=> (getTitle(pair._1), getTitle(pair._2))
}
.write(out)
// function that searches for the id and retrieves the title
def getTitle(search_id: String) = {
val btitle =
book_id_title
.filter('id){id:String => id == search_id} // extract row matching the id
.project('title) // get the title
}
thanks
Hadoop is a batch processing system and there is no way to lookup data by index. Instead, you need to join book_id_title and book_sim by id, probably two times: for left and right ids. Something like:
book_sim.joinWithSmaller('id1->id, book_id_title).joinWithSmaller('id2->id, book_id_title)
I am not very familiar with the field-based API so consider the above as a pseudocode. You also need to add appropriate projections. Hopefully, it still gives you an idea.
