Having problems with fabric8-maven-plugin - apache-karaf

I have come to a problem which I'm not exactly sure how to resolve.
Following the fabric8.io manual I have configured the maven plugin and placed every single configuration bit where it should be placed.
However once I execute the mvn fabric8:deploy I always get:
[ERROR] Failed to execute goal io.fabric8:fabric8-maven-plugin:1.0.0.redhat-355:
deploy (default-cli) on project ag: Failed to retrieve remote metadata com.compa

Any suggestion would be really helpful.
Thanks a lot,

Maybe you are behind the proxy. Then try to add your computer litteral name to your maven settings.xml in nonProxyHosts section:
<proxies>
<proxy>
<username>proxy_user</username>
<password>proxy_pass</password>
<port>proxy_port</port>
<host>proxy_url</host>
<nonProxyHosts>localhost|127.0.0.1|YourComputerName</nonProxyHosts>
</proxy>

cannot create luminus project with sqlite and clojurescript support

I am trying to create a luminus project with sqlite and cljs support with this command:
lein new dbscript +sqlite +cljs
but I keep getting this error message all the time:
Failed to resolve version for dbscript:lein-template:jar:RELEASE: Could not find metadata dbscript:lein-template/maven-metadata.xml in local (/home/jonas/.m2/repository)
Failed to read artifact descriptor for dbscript:lein-template:jar:RELEASE
This could be due to a typo in :dependencies, file system permissions, or network issues.
If you are behind a proxy, try setting the 'http_proxy' environment variable.
Could not find template dbscript on the classpath.
and I cannot find any solution to this. Any suggestions?

Problem while installing keystone for openstack (stein)

we are a group of french students in networks, and we need to get openstack working for a school project. We are curently facing an issue while installing keystone. After following the official openstack guide, when trying the service, we get the following error:
[root#localhost ~]# openstack project create --domain default --description "Service Project" service
Failed to discover available identity versions when contacting http://controller:5000/v3. Attempting to parse version from URL.

We are installing the stein version
Does anyone know how to solve the problem? We can include some others log if needed. We are two who tried and get the same error.
Thanks for any help! :)
Well, the error is self explanatory.
You are missing a config file which governs access to openstack endpoints.
You can use copy it from unittest cases and put in /etc/keystone folder.
For your convenience here is url to file:
https://fossies.org/linux/misc/openstack/keystone-15.0.0.tar.gz/keystone-15.0.0/keystone/tests/unit/config_files/access_rules.json?m=t

Execution failed for task ':kotlin-source:compileKotlin'

I tried to run the cordapp-example from the command prompt. But when I input the "gradlew.bat deployNodes" command, I got the error as below.
Execution failed for task ':kotlin-source:compileKotlin'.
Could not resolve all dependencies for configuration ':kotlin-source:compileClasspath'.
Could not determine artifacts for org.jolokia:jolokia-war:1.3.7
Could not get resource 'https://jcenter.bintray.com/org/jolokia/jolokia-war/1.3.7/jolokia-war-1.3.7.war'.
Could not HEAD 'https://jcenter.bintray.com/org/jolokia/jolokia-war/1.3.7/jolokia-war-1.3.7.war'.
sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed:
sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException:
unable to find valid certification path to requested target
I had done the "keytool -importcert" command to import the certificate of jolokia-war into java cacerts, but the error was still there.
Does anyone know how to solve the problem?
The error message indicates that the compilation failed because your machine was unable to download the resource at this location: https://jcenter.bintray.com/org/jolokia/jolokia-war/1.3.7/jolokia-war-1.3.7.war.
This URL works for me and I was able to download the resource. You are most likely behind a firewall or otherwise unable to download this resource. You need to make your machine able to access this resource to compile and deploy the node.

Appcelerator - include jar in build at compile-time?

Since Appcelerator(/Hyperloop) doesn't use Gradle or Maven to manage dependencies, I need to include them all manually for my project by placing them in the app/platform/android folder. I have done this, however I also need to include google dagger (https://github.com/google/dagger) which requires including dagger-compiler-2.x.jar , which I believe is an annotation processor that generates some type of code during compile-time.
Simply placing this in the app/platform/android folder like any other jar results in this error when the dexer is running during the build:
[ERROR] : Failed to run dexer:
[ERROR] :
[ERROR] : PARSE ERROR:
[ERROR] : MethodHandle not supported
[ERROR] : ...while preparsing cst 016c at offset 00001ceb
[ERROR] : ...while parsing com/google/googlejavaformat/java/JavaInput.class
[ERROR] : 1 error; aborting
I think it has something to do with the part of the dagger instructions which state "you will need to include dagger-compiler-2.x.jar in your build at compile time." Is there somewhere else that I need to place this jar file to get it to be used properly? Or is the use of compile-time annotation processors not something that Appcelerator/Hyperloop supports at this time? Any thoughts or insight would be greatly appreciated.
A good amount has changed since this question was asked. This being said, I believe that currently Hyperloop for Android doesn't handle annotations. And this is how dependency injection systems work, so I believe it's still not currently possible to use that or similar JARs.

Error running Kafka on Cloudera quickstart: assembly-package-dependency not valid

I have downloaded Kafka from apache and extracted it to its own folder. Following the quickstart, I also installed sbt, but at the third line in the sbt commands (I am launching the terminal from INSIDE the kafka folder, I get:
[error] Not a valid command: assembly-package-dependency
[error] Not a valid project ID: assembly-package-dependency
[error] Expected ':' (if selecting a configuration)
[error] Not a valid key: assembly-package-dependency (similar: sbt-dependency)
[error] assembly-package-dependency
[error] ^
I have been looking for all day for an answer, but found none which would start my server. The exception when I try the kafka-server-start.sh is always
unable to find main class Kafka.kafka
I also tried "gradle" the first time, but the problem was the same. I have no chance of upgrading to Cloudera-Express to use the parcel installer: my PC is not good enough to support it.
I am quite desperate: please help me!
I found that sbt update etc didn't quite do the job, so in the end I found another answer suggesting:
In the kafka folder:
./gradlew jar
