I have been struggling with finding a good method for storing save game data in XNA.
What would be a good method to go about saving game information that is encrypted and not easily readable/editable by others?
I usually like Json but because you don't want it readable, you should use a binary serializer. Note that with binary serialization, new saves are not reverse compatible with older saves because the serialization and deserialization process follow a strict structure and is invalidated as soon as changes are made to it. You can then encrypt your binary save file using Rijndael or something like that.

When should one consider using a metamodel in place of an expensive analysis component? I haven't actually seen an example of an openMDAO project that uses metamodels yet, so I was wondering if they're recommended or whether it's still best to treat expensive analyses like normal ones.
Using a metamodel is a trade-off. You trade accuracy vs execution time so it is up to you in your context.

Please suggest any widely used query parameter encryption technique that works best for common servers and client side libraries?
The requirement is to encrypt entire query string right after the '?' so that no field names or values can be read in clear.
Is there any HTTP level standard for the same?
One of the ways could be,
mycommerce.com/gp/goldbox?gb_f_GB-SUPPLE=sortOrder:BY_SCORE,enforcedCategories:165796011&pf_rd_p=2208383682&pf_rd_s=slot-3&pf_rd_t=701
would become
mycommerce.com/gp/goldbox?params=<encrypted string>

I have planned to start my R program carrier now. I have understand the usage R but i have some doubts on the procedure to be implement in R. As a startup i am planing to retrieve data from google analytics and show it to frontend using R shiny. So which will be the good flow to fetch the data. Is it good to fetch the google analytic data using R and process it or it will be good to fetch the data using other languages like php or Java. Also R is good to fetch the data from database or its a good practice to fetch the data using other commonly used languages and process using R.
Sorry the question is little bit descriptive but i am expecting a help from you guys
Thanks,
Organize it in a package(http://r-pkgs.had.co.nz/).
See https://developers.google.com/analytics/solutions/r-google-analytics?hl=en .
The database question depends on exactly what you are using, but R has a lot of resources.

I have:
UI layer
Business Layer
Data access layer
Common code layer
When I need to, for example, perform string manipulation that is unique to the application and isn’t a candidate for common code. Where would you place this function?
Currently I have it in the controller but is does not feel right.
I would move it out of the controller but keep it within the MVC application, as it sounds like presentation logic. It could be a helper or maybe an extension method.
I would recommend you to make Common.UI, which will store all common things for Pressentation Layer in a separate project. In the future it will help you to switch between different pressentation layers and use same common features.

I am making a program in Qt5.2.1 and in it I am using a text file to store some data. I would like to encrypt it and decrypt it inside the program and display the text stored in the file in a QPlainTextEdit ( or any other similar widget).
I searched and came across Qcryptographichash but i have no idea how to use it. I read somewhere that it does not provide a very secure encryption but that doesn't matter ( I am not expecting hackers to try and read this file).
So, could anyone guide me in the right direction, maybe even give me some code. :D
QCryptographic hash creates a hash from given data. That is a one-way process, so the it will not do what you want, namely encrypt the data in a form that can be retrieved via decryption.
You can read more about the difference between encryption and hashes here.
You need to research into possible encryption algorithms. To my knowledge, that's not something that is part of Qt.
It's a large area of on-going research; there are so many to choose from, as you can see here.
