I'm running meteor on ubuntu 12 LTS with node 0.10. My meteor version is 0.6.5.1. I followed the instruction here and got to node main.js. But the console hangs, nothing happens.

Please follow the below steps to resolve this issue
Uninstall the current version of node.js.
Go to https://nodejs.org/en/blog/release/
Install the previous version of node.js (I installed from here 4.
https://nodejs.org/dist/v14.17.3/node-v14.17.3-x64.msi)
Restart your system
Try building the project using npm install

The error here is coming from the Fibers npm package. Fibers only supports node versions before version 16. I had the same error message and switched the node version to 14.20.0 ,which is the newest LTS before version before 16 at the moment, and that solved the problem for me.
I'm having a hard time with firebase CLI,when I install it with npm, either locally in a projet or globally, and I call the command firebase it gives Segmentation fault with no further details.
I firs thought that the problem was with my version of Node since I was using 9.x, I moved back to 8.x versions, and reinstalled firebase with no success, I upgraded to 12.x, with no success too always same error.
I'm using NVM to handle my node versions properly, but still I can't find a fix for this problem.
nvm list gives this :

v8.13.0
v12.3.0

When I run npm list firebase-tools it gives firebase-tools#7.9.0, I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no success .
I have an application that builds in 5 minutes on the Mac. When I try to build in Docker or directly in Ubuntu, the machine completely hangs at some point. It so bad that I can't even ssh into the machine. It eventually times out. I am using Meteor 1.4.2.3, Ubuntu 16.04 and Docker 16.04 with Meteor installed.
I thought maybe it was related to tar and 7z, so I upgraded tar and 7z. Still hangs. It hangs when I building on web.browser. There is high I/O waits and a bunch of blocked processes according to vmstat.
This is the command I'm running:
meteor build --allow-superuser --server-only --directory /tmp/build
Is their any way to get more info about what's going wrong? I also tried to
meteor remove ecmascript --allow-superuser
b/c one article said this may be an issue. Hangs.
I was working on a meteor project (version 1.2, React installed) when suddenly a spew of errors appeared in the command prompt. I could no longer start the server. Entering 'meteor' and nothing happened. I then uninstalled meteor completely and reinstalled (now version 1.3). The problem persisted. The only command I could get to work was 'meteor --help'. Even doing a new create (meteor create newapp) did nothing. The command line carriage returned and did nothing. I'm running under windows 10.
Some people have ran into issues when updating to meteor 1.3. Possible duplicate answered here:

I had this issue too. It's a problem from the 1.3 release on Windows.
In the github issues you can find the solution they found to solve this temporarily; what you have to do is this:
Delete the following folders from C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Local.meteor\packages
templating, templating-tools, ecmascript, standard-minifier-css. But some people mention having to delete extra folders too <-- emphasis on this
Then open the console as administrator and run meteor in the folder where your app is, so it starts downloading the missing packages you deleted.
This would be enough for it to work.
I had started learning Meteor a few weeks ago, then had to put it on hold. Now, when I am trying to create a new app by meteor create myapp or meteor --help or just about anything, I only get the following message:
Sorry, Meteor 1.0.1 is not installed and could not be downloaded.
Please check to make sure that you are online.
There is no problem with my internet connection and I'm not sure what's happening here. I'm on Linux Mint 17. (I think my meteor version is 1.0)
Take a look at your .meteor directory. There has to be a file, called release. In this file must be ONLY one line.
METEOR#1.0.1
So, please check this first and give feedback for more help. :)
