We have a .swf file that was created by an external marketing agency some years ago...
300px X 600px ... it has an embedded link to a PDF that they also created..
We want to link to another PDF file that is more marketing friendly...
Is there a way to fake, using CSS, a link to this new PDF?
We have ceased contact with the old marketing agency and never had the original .fla file to edit.
I was thinking I could add a over the flash file...and somehow create an class for an a href to equal the size of the and link to this PDF...
Sound feasible?
Unless the file is encrypted, it's probably much easier if you use an swf decompiler and extract the pdf from there. Try SWFTools .

I'm trying to customize the CTA section with new images and the support documentation for Austin Night says you're supposed to customize images within the JSON files. I uploaded some images to the image manager but now I'm unsure of where to copy over the new image file within the coding - So I need help knowing where exactly I do this and what part of the image URL is supposed to copy over the default image text. Thanks!
I've uploaded images to the Image Manager and I've copied various parts of the image URL to replace the theme's default images, but nothing seems to work. I've been working within the en.JSON homepage file and I even tried to change the image within the OB Custom images file all in Stencil File Editor, since the theme documentation doesn't give much description on what to do exactly besides to customize in the JSON file.
Can anyone please help me. Am using adobe captivate 9. I have a content with image that exceeds the slide spacing, i want to set this content within the page using scroll. I have tried using text-scroll widget but i cant add images to it.
Put the image into an MS Word document and save it as an HTML web page. The result will be an HTML file and folder named "[file name]_files" in whichever folder you saved it to.
Select both the HTML file and the folder, right click, and choose Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder in the context menu.
Dragging that ZIP folder directly onto your Captivate slide will create scrolling HTML Web Object based on the formatting of the MS Word file. It will show up in your Library in the "Web" folder.
Unfortunately, this is a feature that is missing from Captivate. The best solution I've found is to make an html file that includes the text and points to the image, then zip and import as an HTML5 Animation.
icon_expr is gone.
There is an related issue https://github.com/plone/Products.CMFPlone/issues/1236
concerning the problem but only for control-panel icons.
What is the appropriate way to add a icon to a dexterity content type in plone 5?
Any pointer welcome
Volker
Unluckily the Plone 5 way is only through CSS (with a background image for example) and register it in the new resource registry.
One way I tested is to re-use Fontello, like Barceloneta is doing but is not really simple because you must manually modify the generated CSS to prevent you new CSS to destroy other global rules.
An example is here: https://github.com/RedTurtle/TurtledGazette/tree/master/Products/PloneGazette/browser/static (it's not even Dexterity or Archetypes, but this is not important).
Note. I don't really understand this run to CSS and iconfont. It's a kind of over-optimization:
old school images can still be cached
background images are not really accessible as real images provided also an "alt" for blind people, that warn about the content type.
I don't like current situation too much... it's OK while you are developing a theme but is a nightmare for add-ons developers.
Beneath the update of an actual fontello font, you can limit yourself to enhance the icon configuration.
From the Products.CMFPlone package you can get the current icon font config file "config.json"
/Products/CMFPlone/static/fonts/config.json
To review the content of the file visually, go to the fontello.com website and visit the menu under the "wrench" icon.
Reset all icon selections and settings you may have done before.
Unselect glyphs
Reset all changes
Use Import to load the config.json file from CMFPlone.
Review the icons, names, codes and shapes
Look at the source code of config.json and locate icons not referencing a font but containing plain svg path information.
You will figure out that even glyphs can contain multiple path elements and holes as well.
Try to overload just the config.json file in your package by appending your custom icon as plain svg in the json and choose a non conflicting unicode char code. I am still working on documenting this in detail.
Source: I found a hint to this by Victor Fernandez de Alba mentioning this method in his talk [2] (see transscript [1]) during Plone Conf Bucharest:

How to add background music when a website loads for the first time without using embed and bgsound.I am using visual studio 2010 and these two are not supported in this.
I am developing website using master page and i want to use the code in master
page.
What is the best practice to to be able when I open my website and some music starts f sometime.I am not much expert in .net with c#.So finding some problem in it.
If browser also matters?
Regards,
suparna
Add the following code anywhere in the body of your HTML document to embed a music file and play it automatically when a visitor browses your website.
<audio src="music/yoursongname.mp3" autoplay="autoplay" loop="loop"></audio>
Change the "src" attribute so that it contains the path and filename of the music file that you want to embed.
Note: Add the "loop" attribute if you want the music file to play over and over
Can someone point me to some code/tutorial on how to upload pdf files and store them, then moreover how to use a pdf reader to display the file as read only in an asp.net application.
Is there a PDF reader already in the visual studio toolbox?
The approach I would use in this situation is to upload the PDF as you would any other file, then use a tool like GhostScript to convert the PDF pages into image files that you can show in ASP .Net.
Here's a tutorial doing that in C# http://www.codeproject.com/KB/cs/GhostScriptUseWithCSharp.aspx
Adobe provides (on acrobat.com) a free service which provides you with the ability to upload pdf (and also other types like doc...) and then embed a nice flash interface for displaying the files on your page.
It's pretty helpful as you can store some 5 gigs of files here.
But if you want to let the users upload their own files then this won't help you.
PDF is a final format file, ie its is read-only for the most part and can be embedded into the page via the <object> tag, except if you mean downloadable by the user.
Displaying PDF is generally done by rasterising to an image format for display (ie as an image on the page or via a richer interface (with zooming etc) through flash/silverlight etc.
You can use [GhostScript][1] to interpret PDF files and convert them to an image.

Uploading a PDF is just like any other file. Use the ASP.NET file uploader control:
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/aspnet/fileupload.aspx
In order to view the PDF in an ASP.NET application, you could either depend on Acrobat being there or use a PDF Viewer control.
The company I work for, Atalasoft, sells a PDF Reader add-on to our web viewer controls. You can learn more here: http://www.atalasoft.com/products/dotimage/pdf-reader
