When loading the new Tridion UI page the following errors appear in the message center.
/WebUI/Models/SiteEdit/Services/Services.svc/GetSiteEditItemConfiguration failed to execute.
/WebUI/Models/TCM54/Services/General.svc/GetTridionWebSchema failed to execute.
/WebUI/Models/TCM54/Services/Blueprinting.svc/LoadBlueprintInfo failed to execute.
These are the full errors.
The client has a 'Single Sign On' system provided by 'Siteminder'. We need to login to show popups and for the bootstrap.apsx to load. Could this be causing the above errors. If so how do I integrate Tridion UI with Single Sign On?

First let's check if everything else is fine. Can you check if you can access CoreService? Navigate your browser to
/webservices/CoreService.svc
If you are able to get to CoreService page than it's most probably something wrong with CME itself. Check if it has Anonymous authentication and walk over all of the web.configs in the folders under Tridion\Web and check that you have followed all of the directions given in comments.

I developed an application in ASP.Net MVC 5 with database SQL Server 2012
now I want to deploy it in Windows Server 2012 with IIS 8
I followed this link: http://www.asp.net/mvc/overview/deployment/visual-studio-web-deployment/deploying-to-iis
but when I run my application in browser it gives error:
HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error The requested page can not
be access because the related configuration data for the page is
invalid.
I am new in this area please if you could explain in details.
You need to publish it first selecting your project on Visual studio . After that you need to create the site on IIS. In some case you can find diffiult on mapping your db for that you need to add the permission on the db server.
Verify if are installed the asp.net role in your server.
I hope this link can help you: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh831475.aspx
I would make sure that you have the latest .Net packages installed. I had a MVC5 app targeting 4.5.2 that would refuse to start.
I am currently doing a fresh installation of Tridion 2011. We were previously using 5.3 and are keeping the database. I have so far installed the database, content manager, two content delivery servers and am now working on setting up the presentation servers. All of our web pages are built using classic asp. I was advised that I should manually install the API (linking, broker and WAI) if I wanted my asp pages to use dynamic linking (see https://stackoverflow.com/a/12428237/1113475)
I have read through the documentation and it explains how to install the API as a .NET web service. I don't think this is what I want as my web pages are all classic asp. I assume I need to do something with the exe files in the Content Delivery\roles\api\windows directory but they do nothing when I run them.
When running the following code on my asp page
Server.CreateObject("cd_link.ComponentLink")
I get the error
Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'
Server.CreateObject Failed
/about/index.asp, line 196
800401f3
... but this is obviously going to happen as I've not got the linker installed
Additional Information
Server is 64 bit Windows Server 2008. Running IIS 7.5 but my application pool for Tridion 2011 is running in 32bit mode.
Creating other third party objects works fine. Like the Chilkat Crypt library.
From the Live Documentation:
From each machine that runs a Content Delivery Server Role, open a Windows command prompt, access the SDL Tridion 2011 SP1 installation media, navigate to the folder Content Delivery\roles\api\windows.
Install the deprecated Windows services by running the following commands:
cd_broker.exe -install
cd_wai.exe -install
cd_link.exe -install
Upgraded from Tridion 5.3 SP1 to Tridion 2011 SP1.
Want to change Httpupload page URL mentioned in Publication Targets, but while saving it Tridion is throwing error
8004D025) Error: Exception of type 'System.EnterpriseServices.TransactionProxyException' was thrown.Unable to save Target type (tcm:0-2-65538).SQLUtilities.GetDatabaseConnectionDataStoreDAL.InitDataStoreBroker.InitDataStoreUtilitiesBL.InitDataStoreTargetTypeBL.UpdateTridion.ContentManager.IdentifiableObject.SaveThroughLegacyBL(String)Tridion.ContentManager.IdentifiableObject.Save(SaveEventArgs)Tridion.ContentManager.IdentifiableObject.Save()Tridion.ContentManager.BLFacade.IdentifiableObjectFacade.Update(UserContext,String)XMLState.SaveTargetType.Save
Note: We are able to update Component and Pages but unable to update/create new Publication Targets as well as Target Types
This is most likely an MSDTC problem. Check if you can reach the database server from the Tridion server using DTCPing.
Update: other people that had similar problems reported that it was caused by their SQL Server cluster and they fact that they needed to open port 135 on their firewall for messages in one direction and ports 1024-5000 for the response messages. Apparently the Windows ODBC Data Source Administrator is even better for troubleshooting than DTCPing as it verifies access to a particular database via SA credentials, server and port.
We have a webapplication, made in ASP.NET 2.
This app runs without problems in IIS 6. When we upload it to an IIS 7 (Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter) it runs in IIS, but when we open the site in a browser we get this error:
Server Error
500 - Internal server error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.
I would make sure that everything is set correctly in the ASP.NET tab, and also check under the Home Directory tab to make sure that the application has sufficient read/write and execute permissions.
The problem was that I nedded to add a feature to the server. After I added .NET Framework 3.5.1 Features it worked.
Upgraded server Framework to 4.0. Using Godaddy hosting. The website is now showing this error
500 - Internal server error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.
On searching the internet found this:
Error message when you visit a Web site that is hosted on IIS 7.0: "HTTP Error 500.0 – Internal Server Error"
The link above says:
Resolution 2
Make sure that the server that is running IIS 7.0 can access the configured root directory of the requested location.
I am not sure what to do.
Is your Application Pool running on .NET 4.0 or .NET 2.0?
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc754523(WS.10).aspx
Open IIS Manager. For information about opening IIS Manager, see Open IIS Manager (IIS 7).
On the Connections pane, expand the server node and click Application Pools.
On the Application Pools page, select the application pool for which you want to specify a .NET Framework version, and then click Basic Settings in the Actions pane.
In the Edit Application Pool dialog box, in the .NET Framework version list, select the version that you want the application pool to use or select No Managed Code if the application uses only native code.
Click OK.

Not sure if this would help, but it's an issue I ran into when upgrading to .NET 4. The person who had managed the site before me had used IIS manager to configure settings and it added references to .NET 3.5 in the web.config. Removing all references/assemblies related to 3.5 and below fixed the issue.
This can also happen if you are using third party controls like Telerik or if something is wrong in the web.config file. Try to remove the httpHandlers/httpModules from web.config file and if this solves the problem, you can add them one by one to check which handler/module might be causing the problem.
