I want to get the file extension of uploaded file in Marklogic server. I know how to get the file name. But that gives filename plus extension like new.txt. But I want only extension not the full file name. How can I get just the file extension ?
There are many methods of getting file extensions from filename. For instance you can use functx:substring-after-last($filename, '.') or other methods (fn:substring-after) of getting substring after dot. Please see: xqueryfunctions.com
P.S. fn:tokenize($filename, '\.')[fn:last()]
I often use the following replace:
fn:replace("c:\a\b\c.d.e.txt", '^(.*\.)?([^\.]+)$', '$2')
But using functx is a good idea too, as suggested by Andrew. A copy of the functx library is distributed as part of the latter versions of MarkLogic. Just add the following import to get them available:
import module namespace functx = "http://www.functx.com" at "/MarkLogic/functx/functx-1.0-nodoc-2007-01.xqy";
HTH!
Just for variety, yet another expression that produces the extension :) :
reversed-string(substring-before(reversed-string($filePath), '.'))
where reversed-string($s) can be defined as:
codepoints-to-string(reverse(string-to-code-points($s)))
So the whole expression with the substitution is:
codepoints-to-string(
reverse(
string-to-codepoints(
substring-before(codepoints-to-string(reverse(string-to-codepoints($filePath))),
'.')
)
)
)

I want to generate a plenty *.qm for plenty *.ts files for different languages using qt5_add_translation. All the *.ts files are named using *.de_DE.ts/*.fr_FR.ts/etc convention. But qt5_add_translation produce output, using only basename until first ., not the last one.
There is no possibility to pass options to lrelease using qt5_add_translation(QM_FILES "${PROJECT_NAME}.de_DE.ts" OPTIONS -qm "${PROJECT_NAME}.de_DE.qm") syntax.
Also setting OUTPUT_NAME property for source *.ts file is not working:
set_source_files_properties(
"${PROJECT_NAME}.de_DE.ts" PROPERTIES
OUTPUT_LOCATION "${CMAKE_CURRENT_SOURCE_DIR}"
OUTPUT_NAME "${PROJECT_NAME}.de_DE.qm"
)
Producing filename in the case is still "${PROJECT_NAME}.qm", not "${PROJECT_NAME}.de_DE.qm"
How to override producing name for resulting *.qm file?
Surely I can make custom command and use it for my purposes, but I prefer to use ready qt5_add_translation.
EDIT:
Looking at /usr/local/Qt-5.9.2/lib/cmake/Qt5LinguistTools/Qt5LinguistToolsMacros.cmake I conclude, that there is no way to achieve desired using ready to use qt5_add_translation, because of using get_filename_component(qm ${_abs_FILE} NAME_WE) to get filename:
NAME_WE = File name without directory or longest extension
For my purposes there is need to use combination of ABSOLUTE (to get filename w/ full suffix), then to apply multiple times EXT in combination with NAME_WE to extract filename w/o shortest extension.
I ended up with the below custom function add_translation to replace qt5_add_translation:
function(ADD_TRANSLATION _qm_files)
foreach(_basename ${ARGN})
set(qm "${CMAKE_CURRENT_SOURCE_DIR}/${_basename}.qm")
add_custom_command(
OUTPUT "${qm}"
COMMAND "${Qt5_LRELEASE_EXECUTABLE}"
ARGS -markuntranslated "Not translated!" -nounfinished -removeidentical -compress "${CMAKE_CURRENT_SOURCE_DIR}/${_basename}.ts" -qm "${qm}"
DEPENDS "${CMAKE_CURRENT_SOURCE_DIR}/${_basename}.ts" VERBATIM
)
list(APPEND ${_qm_files} "${qm}")
endforeach()
set(${_qm_files} ${${_qm_files}} PARENT_SCOPE)
endfunction()
It accepts basenames of *.ts files and produces list of resulting *.qm files: both in current source directory.
Please upgrade to Qt 5.9.4 or newer. The handling of .ts files with dots in the name has been fixed there, see also https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-64317 .
I'm trying to write a bunch of functions in an SML file and then load them into the interpreter. I've been googling and came across this:
http://www.smlnj.org/doc/interact.html
Which has this section:
Loading ML source text from a file
The function use: string -> unit interprets its argument as a file name relative to sml's current directory and loads the text from that file as though it had been typed in. This should normally be executed at top level, but the loaded files can also contain calls of use to recursively load other files.
So I have a test.sml file in my current directory. I run sml, all good so far. Then I try use test.sml; and I get:
stdIn:1.6-1.14 Error: unbound structure: test in path test.sml
Not sure why this isn't working. Any ideas?
Thanks,
bclayman
As you mentioned, the function use has type string -> unit. This means it takes a string and returns unit. When you do use test.sml, you are not giving it a string. You need to do use "test.sml" (notice the quotes)
I'm newbie to nacl. And I find out there are so many 0 byte files in the directory (nacl_sdk/pepper_38/toolchain/win_*/bin).
When I change the project platform to NaCl64 and compile(hello_nacl_cpp), there comes out an error
(error MSB6006: “D:\nacl_sdk\pepper_38\toolchain\win_x86_newlib\bin\x86_64-nacl-gcc.exe”已退出,代码为 -1)
But I can debug the example "hello_world_gles" with PPAPI platform, so I'm not sure the environment is ok.
Anyone can tell me something? Thanks!
Answer my question.
As #binji says we should use cygtar.py(which is in the dirctory sdk_tools) to extract the file.
Here we go:
Open cygtar.py with your text editor, you will find a class named CygTar who is the real worker.
Move dwon, and insert a snippet of code below Main function.
def MyLogic():
os.chdir('D:\\nacl_sdk\\sdk')
# tar = CygTar('naclports.tar.bz2', 'r', True) #here must use linux file path
tar = CygTar('naclsdk_win.tar.bz2', 'r', True)
tar.Extract()
Then replace sys.exit(Main(sys.argv)) with sys.exit(MyLogic()) at last of file.That all.
Note: If you have learned python, you will know code indent is very important in python, be careful.
And the final code should looks like this:
How do I find/use op:except with the multiple xml files?
I've gotten the nodes from file 1 and file 2, and in the xquery expression I'm tring to find the op:except of those two. When I use op:except, I end up getting an empty set.
XML File 1:
<a>txt</a>
<a>txt2</a>
<a>txt3</a>
XML File 2:
<a>txt2</a>
<a>txt4</a>
<a>txt3</a>
I want output from op:($nodesfromfile1, $nodesfromfile2) to be:
<a>txt</a>
It effectively comes down to the single line behind the return in the following code. You could put that in a function if you like, but it is already very dense, so maybe not worth it..
let $file1 := (
<a>txt</a>,
<a>txt2</a>,
<a>txt3</a>
)
let $file2 := (
<a>txt2</a>,
<a>txt4</a>,
<a>txt3</a>
)
return
$file1[not(. = $file2)]
Note, you also have the 'except' keyword ($file1 except $file2), but that works on node identity which won't work if the nodes comes from different files.
By the way, above code uses string-equality for comparison. If you would prefer to do a comparison on full node-structure, you could also use the deep-equal() function.

I have a compressed CSS file (all whitespace removed) that I want to inspect, but it's a huge pain inspecting it as-is. Is there any utility (preferably linux command line) that I can run the file through to format it nicely?
The online service that Dave Newman mentioned has been converted into a Node.js script, which you can run on the command-line. If you have NPM installed you can just do:
npm install -g cssunminifier
And it’s pretty versatile how you can use it. Here are 3 different examples:
cssunminifier style.min.css style.css
cssunminifier --width=8 style.min.css
curl http://cdn.sstatic.net/stackoverflow/all.css | cssunminifier - | less
Here’s more info on the command-line css unminifier
Try this online service.
You can also inspect any compressed file in Firebug.
I wrote a little formatter in Ruby for you. Save it as some .rb file and use it via CLI like ruby format.rb input.css input-clean.css:
#Formats CSS
input, output = ARGV
#Input
if input == nil or output == nil
puts "Syntax: #{$0} [input] [output]"
exit
end
#Opens file
unless File.exist? input
puts "File #{input} doesn't exist."
exit
end
#Reads file
input = File.read input
#Creates output file
output = File.new output, "w+"
#Processes input
input = input.gsub("{", "\n{\n\t")
.gsub(",", ", ")
.gsub(";", ";\n\t")
.gsub(/\t?}/, "}\n\n\n")
.gsub(/\t([^:]+):/, "\t" + '\1: ')
#Writes output
output.write input
#Closes output
output.close
These programs are called 'beautifiers'. You should be able to google one that fits for you.
If you're looking for a locally-executable utility, as opposed to a web service, you want CSS Tidy.

Here's a free windows app to "beautify" your file. I haven't used it so I don't know how well it works.
http://www.blumentals.net/csstool/
It is specific, but Visual Studio does this on that file type. (by no means a generic solution to which you alude)
take a look at the vkBeautify plugin
http://www.eslinstructor.net/vkbeautify/
It can beautify (pretty print) CSS, XML and JSON text,
written in plain javascript, small, simple and fast
