I have a drupal template. I want to know what are the names of the active variables using php..
How do I achieve that ?
If you're just looking to get which variables have been defined, you can use PHP's function get_defined_vars:
print_r(get_defined_vars());
http://php.net/manual/en/function.get-defined-vars.php
If your after Drupals globals, here they are...

I'm using PHPUnit/WP_UnitTestCase to unit test a WP theme. I need to simulate that I'm on a page with a certain slug, and I've been told to use go_to() to do this. However, I can't figure out how to actually use the function.
If I do something like this, it won't work:
$this->go_to('test');
$this->assertTrue(is_page('test'));
Any Advice?
The go_to function requires a url

I want to update inventory based on sku.
For example
php magento update_inventory --sku&quantity=array(1001,10) --sku&quantity=array(1002,20) --sku&quantity=array(1003,30)
But I’m not getting how to add options/arguments ?
here user at least need to provide one pair (sku& quantity).
for this i think i have to use ArrayInput class/InputArgument/InputOption.
Can you give some solution or reference to above requirement?
Have you looked at how Magento\Setup\Console\Command\AdminUserCreateCommand uses options? Take a look at how that code uses getOptionsList in the configure method. For your use case you may want to look into using InputOption::VALUE_IS_ARRAY
A good reference will be http://symfony.com/doc/current/components/console/introduction.html#using-command-options
You may also want to consider a different input format. For example using arguments instead of options and specifying the format in documentation.
php magento update_inventory 1001:10 1002:20 1003:30
In Smarty, I know you can declare a string:
{$somevar|default:'some string'}
or even an array:
{$somevar|default:array('someval')}
How do you/Is it possible to set an associative array as a default value? as this doesn't seem to work:
{$somevar|default:array('default'=>array('subkey'=>'subval'))}
I just tried:
{$somevar|default:array('key'=>'val')}
It's the '=>' smarty doesn't like
I know its probably not the solution you're looking for, but you can always just use the {php} feature. However, I will try a few things and see if I can work the format out.
Just out of interest, why are you trying to do this in the tpl file and not in the calling PHP script?
Edit
From takeing a read, it doesn't seem like it is possible. However, there is a "set" plugin which allows it, see here (bottom example).
I searched far and wide to find a working solution to this but couldn't find it.
What I want to do is change the argument that is passed to the view because I want for pathauto cleaned taxonomy terms to work as an argument. I have a code that transforms cleaned term back to a original one, but cannot make the view use it.
I saw some people changing it in hook_preprocess_views_view(&$vars) but in my case (Views 2.11) has a argument in $vars instanced so many times that it's not the way.
Can anyone please help me change this argument?
There may be a better way but you could use views_embed_view() and set the arguments yourself
I have two ideas, either to add some custom php code to the view's argument's phpcode section that does something like this
$args[0] = 1;
return $args;
or try to use the function
hook_views_pre_view(&$view, &$display_id, &$args) {
// modify $args value here
}
didn't test them so don't know which will work.
I think hook_views_pre_view might help you do just that.
I need to create a new custom formatter(using the module custom formatter) to replace some template code. So, for some fields, When I add a new custom formatter(field type: text) I need to print the title and the body. I tried to use $node->title but it doesn't work...
How can I do this? Probably using elements? And if yes...how?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Michele
Field formatters relate to the field that they are used for, it it's impossible to answer your question without know what field you are using (and it's contents).
To debug this, you could use the devel module and a bit of code. If you in your formatter write.
dpm(get_defined_vars());
this will give you a pretty printed list of all variables you have available. That should help you inspect and figure out how you get to what you need.
Custom formatters get's passed $element, if you do a dpm of $element (dpm($element) - If you have the Devel module installed) you will see the entire array, and notive that the $node object is passed as $element['#node'].
So with that said, to get to the node title you would use $element['#node']->title.
Please also not that it does say this on the help text of the custom formatters UI.
