I'm having issues using the Obout grid control after changing pages on the grid. For example, testing one of their examples available for download from their site (aspnet_grouping_initial.aspx) if you change pages on the grid you can no longer expand/collapse the groupings.
The same issue exists in all their grid examples if you try to perform any action after changing a page.
Has anyone figured out how to fix this?
Note it does work on their website but not in the code samples you can download.
I have already emailed their support without a response.
Thanks
I'm not able to reproduce this issue. The "aspnet_grouping_initial.aspx" sample works without problems and if you change the page or the page size you can still expand/collapse groups or perform other actions (sorting, etc.). Nobody else reported such problem, so this might be caused from something from your end. What browser are you testing in? Do you get any errors on the client-side after navigating to a different page in the Grid? Are all the resources (scripts, stylesheets, images) loading properly in the browser?

I would like to confirm what effect this CSS code has on the homepage of a wordpress website.
.lazy { display: none !important; }
Many thanks for explanations.
I have noticed images in the homepage are being blocked from being displayed which is why im asking this question.
The CSS code itself, prevent any element which has it from being displayed on the screen.
Due to its name, it may be used to enable something called lazyload (you can read about it here).
lazyload is usually used for several reasons:
Remove the pressure of loading many images at first; sometimes images are placed at the end of the page so the client won't see it at the top of the page, with lazy loading trick it. You can prevent those images from being loaded, and force them to load only the moment your client reach them by scrolling or other events so it cause page loading improvements (because the page is now lighter)
For making some visual effects; almost everywhere you need the image to be hidden and after some juggling or some specific events it is shown (like wp-admin and sub-menus, which will be shown if you hold your mouse on or click them)
etc
Recording to the reasons; I guess your kind of codes (which will be handled in client-side and client browser) does not fit the first reason and may be used for the second one because for the first reason it is better (and I guess it must) implemented on server-side. Why? Because in your code, the image is loaded and be will there and just not shown because of the CSS code
This was all I know but if you want a more specific answer you have to say where you saw it in WordPress, in a plugin, wp-admin, template, etc...
Hope the answer becomes handy for you
my site seems to be downloading very slowly. I recently changed the CSS and HTML to improve the layout, but I think I might have messed it up somehow.
Can anyone give me feedback on things I could do to speed it up?
Thanks.

There are many online Web Optimization sites that you can use.
I've attached some optimized results for your page.
From http://www.webpagetest.org/
See The Result
and you can use Google Page Speed Link
Simply, I would suggest one thing based on your page design and the code is..., use CSS Simplify Tool and the HTML Symplify Tool. It reduces the Page Loading time dramatically. and as well as some Image Compression Tool too.
One thing that really reduces the page speed is Flash contents or Images. so be focus on that primarily
http://csslint.net/ for linting
http://csscomb.com/ for ordering attributes
http://prefixr.com/ for adding browser prefixes
There are many many factors that come in play with a slow page besides CSS/HTML. The size of the images, whether they are optimized, how fast the server delivers, caching, etc...
I would recommend using Google PageSpeed Insights or similar service - they show you a lot of info.
Go to https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/
Edit: Your URL loads this JS file which has an anonymous function that runs again and again:
http://s3.amazonaws.com/scripts.hellobar.com/bfa7653204b92054d559e0d8dd1ba2dd6fbdc183.js
You can view for yourself by using a web inspector - I am in Safari 7 and under Timelines on the Inspector panel - select "Layout & Rendering" from leftside menu and reload page. You can see that the HelloBar is doing some kind of adjusting over and over.
Have a look at the following site http://www.soe.gr.
The whole page has been built with CSS Page Builder Magic 2 (projectseven.com).
Every button is a link to a different .html page.
However, I do not know why every button press creates a flash effect in the page, the background changes instantly color and generally it gives an impression of abnormal operation. I have not met any site with such behavior except some pages inside projectseven site.
Do you have any idea why that happens? Is it something wrong with Page Builder Magic approach?
I am new to Web Development world and I want to know if there is any problem with these guys.
Thank you very much
I checked it out, it doesn't behave abnormally at all for all those effects you have there, I checked out the size of one of the images it is about 250kb, then imagine the other images which I assume are of the same size, and they are all going to be loaded when the page loads, you definitely should expect some effect
On one user's machine an ASPX page suddenly showed JavaScript code as text on the page. The original contents of the page were also showing half baked and broken. The user was using IE browser. Though I cannot post the contents of the page here, I will try to describe it as accurately as I can. In between the address bar and the actual beginning of the page, there was a cross-section showing some JavaScript text. The text appears to be the automatic JavaScript that is generated by ASP .NET for Validators. The JavaScript text, it seems is of the Validators used inside a User Control that is used on this page.
This issue has happened just one-off. Now the page is showing OK to the same user.
Though I am sure this must have been a bandwidth issue I have no evidence to prove this and nor able to regenerate the issue. And 'someone' claims that this might have been a hacking attempt.
Has anyone faced similar issue ? Is there anyway to conclusively prove that this to be a bandwidth issue and has nothing to do with code or anything on the server ?
For some reason whenever I go to the page of my website that has the crystal report on it my main navigation bar disappears. Here is what the header for the site (with the navigation menu) is suppose to look like:
and here is what it looks like when there is a report on the page:
Could someone tell me what is causing this and how I can fix it?
I'm using master page for the header by the way.
Greener, the Crystal Report viewer is a dynamic HTML representation of the report. It combines JavaScript, HTML and CSS (duh, what doesn't) to represent your report on the webpage. The toolbars are powered by JavaScript calls to .JS that is linked in when the CrystalReportViewer control is rendered to your page.
My point is, all of this introduces a LOT of stuff that can conflict with your existing page. In particular JavaScript errors can occur (which can cause certain things to stop rendering) OR CSS the report uses happens to apply styles you never intended to have applied to objects in your page.
I highly recommend installing the Web Developer toolbar and/or FireBug to FireFox, IE, or whatever browser they are offered on these days. FireFox's implementation of those is quite good in my experience.
When the page loads you can use the 'CSS' menu of the Web Developer toolbar to actually disable some or ALL the styles applied to the page. If disabling Crystal related styles (or all) makes your missing toolbar appear, then it's probably a conflict in your CSS. A front end developer would know to adjust the styles (i.e. add the !important directive to a style, change class/id names, etc.) to address this.
Alternatively, FireBug may be reporting JavaScript errors (heck, even FireFox can show these in the console) which could indicate a problem that prevents the completion of rendering your toolbar.
An outside possibility is that the report itself contains mark-up. For example, if you had certain fields in the report contain HTML that happened to be rendered by the browser, this could create an open div tag, css styles and even JavaScript that would do all the stuff I explained above.
I hope this narrows it down for you. Happy troubleshooting!
I was having the same issue and after hours of searching I finally resolved it... check this out... http://scn.sap.com/thread/1926659
In the crystalreportviewer css file, I adjusted the div class = clear and changed the height attribute and disabled overflow:hidden. Hopefully, that works for you. Good luck!
I found the solution after searching on the web and is a quite simple.
On the Site Master, change the Name for all the places you have the style "clear" for example "clear1" and change it too en the site.css with that name.
The problem is for the conflic with the namespaces with Crystal Report css.
Hope this help.
