Is it possible to mix frameworks?
I want to develop a site using Symfony but have been advised to use Kohana (with Boonex Dolphin) as it is the best for plugging in social networking modules
It is possible to mix Symfony Standard Edition with any other framework. It is not recommended, but it is possible. The most common situations when you need to do this is when you migrate your old code to Symfony and when you want a blogging system to handle the blogging part of your website (like having your website on Symfony and your blog on WordPress).
To achieve that there are many ways. One is to setup in Symfony a route that will work with the legacy code. Another one is to build an adapter over your non-Symfony application (or your Symfony app).

I am .net developer. I have no idea about Microsoft Dynamics AX. can any one suggest what is MS Dynamic Ax. and for what purpose. how to install that in my computer. i mean is there any setup. and One sample application regarding morph x and x++. Please can you share any document regarding this.
Dynamics AX is an ERP system not a desktop application. MorphX is Dynamics AX's native IDE and X++ is the language used to develop. X++ is an object oriented language similar to Java or C#. This is a very broad question with no simple way to answer. If you do not work at a Microsoft partner or company that runs AX, you don't have much of a chance of exploring the platform. Sorry, wish I had more to help.

I have basic knowledge of asp.net and i want develop the project. So m confused between Wcf and asp.mvc which is good for my project. i read description of both but cant get solution. could someone please help me as soon as possible.
project description- collection of data from different site(location) through wireless communication(gprs communication) and store the data on oracle 10G. and i want show the history reports and trends .
how i show reports? like in windows application (crystal report and rdlc)
WCF is rest service while asp.net MVC is web development technique. So if you want expose services then you can move WCF or WEB API else will move to ASP.NET MVC.

I have just finished my own web app and I am looking at which is the best UK based web hosting solution? I would be grateful for any input as I am finding it very difficult to cut through the cr*p.
Thanks,
Adrian
Not sure if it's really for this site, as it's not directly programming per se...
Anyway, I use Hosting UK for my web hosting, .NET 4.0 and SQL 2008 databases are all available, and a medium trust environment so you can include other binaries in your application.
I've also found their support to be very good.
We host with NimbusHosting and are extremely pleased with their service. They offer VPS packages, both Windows and Linux.
We currently only use Linux, so I unfortunately cannot verify what edition of SQL Server they allow (most likely Express).

I was asked at a .NET user group if I knew of any professional web sites built with the Razor view engine for MVC that they could peruse. Interesting question, and I was not aware of any at the time. Does anybody know of a publicized list or specific web sites that have implemented Razor?
Thanks.
I was involved in building this one: http://snapshot.factiva.com. Bad news is that you need an account to be able to see it.
Here's a list of public websites which includes our own SO: http://www.findmyhosts.com/top-10-asp-net-mvc-framework-websites/
