Converting an elgg 1.7 theme to use on 1.8 - elgg

I have a 1.7 Elgg theme which needs to be installed on Elgg 1.8.
Is this possible?
I have installed the theme module on 1.8 and it seems that there is no css being picked up. I have read that in 1.8 the way CSS modification are done has changed.
I thank you for your advice.
Thanks
Regards
Gabriel

I would start with the Elgg docs about themes.

How to create Airflow read only users?

Is there a way to create read only users in Airflow ? I see there is some discussion about that is Airflow 2.0 https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/AIRFLOW/Airflow+2.0
Does anyone know if that has been incorporated in 1.9 ? We are currently using 1.8.
There’s work ongoing in this PR:

What is the difference between Drupal 7.9 and 7.34 (current stable)

I am currently reviewing a Drupal site I am taking on for a client. My first task will be to make sure it's all up to date as the site was hacked recently.
Currently it is on version 7.9 - what it is recommending me is 7.34. 7.34 is the currently recommended stable release as per the Drupal site. What is this 7.9 version? Was it an old beta or dev version? What version should be used?
Drupal 7.9 was an official stable release back in Oct 26, 2011.
You should use the most recent Drupal release (currently 7.34).
In addition, since you've mentioned the site was hacked, it would be really pointless just to upgrade the Core, since you should upgrade all the modules as well, but firstly - you should take care of potential threat left from the previous attack.
Look at the standard procedure of the steps required: Your Drupal website has a backdoor
Drupal 7.9 is not "Drupal 7.90". This version is older than Drupal 7.34.
I recommend you to upgrade the Drupal core from 7.9 to 7.34 for performance and security reasons. Check first if is possible. Some developers hacks the Drupal Core, which is a very bad practice.

mx.charts.chartClasses::ChartElement could not be found

I am encountering this problem when trying to upgrade a legacy project from Flex SDK 3.3 to Flex SDK 3.6
The error gets thrown at runtime only, at compile time there is no issue.
My hunch is that it has something to do with DataVisualization components.
Though all datavisualization swc's are in place, I am still getting this error.
Even did a fresh download of the 3.6 SDK, overlayed the 3.6 DataVisualization swc's, still the same thing.
Using Flash Builder 4.6 Premium
Has anyone encountered this before?
Any help on this matter would be more than welcome.
Cheers
Most probably the Flex SDK 3.6 that you have downloaded does not contain the charting components.
Be aware that only flex premium license allows charting framework usage without a watermark.
Check:
Adobe Flex Charting SDK
Flex Charting Trial
This issue was caused by using an incompatible flexlib.swc library.
Updating flexlib from version 1.9 to 2.5 solved the issue.

Compile Wordpress with HipHop

I have a high volume wordpress 3.2 installation. I was considering compiling wordpress in C++ with HipHop, as several resources report a speedup of up to 2.7x times with WordPress 3.0.
Anyhow I can't find any tutorial about wordpress 3.2. Anyone have any experience? Is there any problem I should expect?
If anyone could guide me with the compilation of wordpress, I would be grateful.
There is a compiling wordpress subheader in the running hiphop-php wiki under Example: Compiling WordPress. You might want to try that and ask more specific questions about problems that might come up.
I would suggest you to check this out.

This is a pretty decent writeup to run WP 3 on ubuntu.
