Is there a way to get Aptana Studio 3 to not upload specific file extensions, such as .sass for example?
Thanks!
If you already have the project set up with a remote server, you could right-click on a .sass file in the project and select Deploy > Cloak this file type.
You could also go to Preferences > Aptana Studio > Remote and add .sass to the list of file extensions to be ignored.

I have a .css file in IntelliJ IDEA, but it has a LESS content.
This is why IntelliJ IDEA shows errors when it analyzes the correctness of the .css file:
Unknown CSS at-rule
a term expected
Changing the file extension is not a solution because it's not my own project.
How can I force IntelliJ IDEA to open the .css files as .less files in order to be able to recognize LESS tricks (E.g.: #xyz: 100px;)?

We are using TFS for source control, and we just started to use scss. I've added in webstorm the file watcher for scss. But the problem is after we commit our changes, all the files are receiving "Read-only" status.
In Visual Studio or in WebStorm if you modify the file it automatically removes the read only status and checks out that file. How can I do it so when I save an scss files to remove the css status and check out that file automatic so I wouldn't be forced to do it manually every time.
In Visual Studio it does automatically with the plugin Web Compiler and I want to do it also in WebStorm, because is much more easy to work in WebStorm than in Visual Studio.
The answered you gaved me Cece is for clear the RO status for the file I'm editing, in this case the scss file. My request was to remove the RO status for the file that is compiled by the node-sass in this case the css file.
I've created a batch file for the moment with this script:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE\TF.exe" checkout %2
node-sass --output-style=compact --source-map-embed=true %1 %2
and the Webstorm program is linked with this batch file instead of node-sass and is working perfectly.
Check Changing Read-Only Status of Files in WebStorm:
To enable explicit removal of read-only status:
In the Confirmation page of the Version Control settings, check the option Show "Clear Read-Only Status" Dialog.
Changing writable status by icon:
You can make a file writable using the lock icon in the Status bar. Open the desired file in the editor, and click the lock, as shown below:
I am using Netbeans 8.0 to edit my HTML, PHP, and CSS. Just today I have installed SASS and enabled it within Netbeans. I am developing on Ubuntu, and Ruby and Sass are both available in the repositories, so I installed them and Netbeans found the SASS executable with the click of a button. So, I assume it's all working.
I have created a file called style.scss, and put in some test colour variables and a dummy #test id.
My understanding was that when I saved the .scss file that it would get processed and a .css file with the same name, in this case style.css, would get created. Or updated if it already existed.
Is this not the case? I did see other SASS and .css file generation questions here on Stack Overflow, but I didn't see one specific to Netbeans, so I'm not sure if there's something I haven't set up correctly in my environment. Also, I don't need to upload to a server when saving, I am just testing and developing locally.
How do I actually generate a .css file from my .scss in Netbeans 8.0?
Right click on the project -> Properties -> CSS Preprocessors
You have to set an input folder, for example /scss, and an output folder like /css
And there is a checkbox "Compile Sass files on save".
For Compiler options " --style compact " can be useful.
This was working for me in NB7.4, but in 8, something happened...
The plugin page says, it's currently incompatible with 8.
http://plugins.netbeans.org/plugin/34929
UPDATE: My scss folder was wrong... So it's working in NB8.
Look # the project settings, and separate your .scss and .css files in two folder, the default folders are /scss and it converts files to /css folder
I'm Running Aptana/Eclipse with a project set to publish to a (UNIX) remote server on save. All good. But I also have Compass compiling my scss files into a singular CSS file. Now the issue is that on save it only publishes/pushes the file that has been saved (The SCCS File), Not the CSS file. Is there a way to publish all changed files, or anything similar?
Development on: Windows 7 + Ruby, Compass, Eclipse

Xcode 4 seems to have changed the deployment location of the application data which previously used to be in:
Users/INSERT_YOUR_USER_HERE/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/
Does anybody knows where is it now?
Thanks,
Raj
PS: I am beginning to hate Xcode 4! Sick!!!
The Application is Sandboxed in the location you specified is correct.
/Users/INSERT_YOUR_USER_HERE/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/
That is this is the place where the Application(.app file) the installation file will be there.
I was wondering that you were searching for the build file or the binary file(.ipa). In Xcode4 they have changed it. Previously in Xcode 3 versions the build file will be in the folder where you have created your Project along with all your .h and .m files.
Now the build file is in this Path
/Users/YOURUSER/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/YOURPROJECTNAME_SOMETHINGSOMETHING/Build/Products
EDIT: More simple solution would be In the left side Navigator window in the Project structure under the Products Folder you will find your app. Right click on that and select open in finder will you take you to folder containing your app .app file.
If you want .ipa file just drag and drop the .app file into itunes it will convert that into itunes file and again rightclik and show in finder will give you the ipa file
On my mac the folder never changed.
The sandbox of each application i have in the simulator can be found in:
${HOME}/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/<SDK_VERSION>/Applications/<GUID>
If you right click on YOUR_APP_NAME.app file in xcode, it will take you to the sandbox folder.
You can find that in the following path:
/Users/User/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Your-Project-Name/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator/location.app
