What are the steps to sign a .exe file?
I already have a PKCS #7 Certificate (.spc file*), because I've used it to sign .jar files
*but it was requested using the keytool with a .csr file as follows http://help.godaddy.com/article/4780
The specific question is:
How do I sign .exe files? and if this .spc file works or I need a new one?
Thanks in advance
All you need is OpenSSL and signtool.exe.
Combine the certificate and private key files into a PFX file.
Use the signtool.exe to sign your code.

I have been testing with PGP command line to create a batch file that encrypts all zip files in a folder
So far I have tried
GPG -e -r username c:\foldername*.zip
But when I run the bat file nothing happens.
Do I need the path to where PGP is installed adding?
I would also like to delete the zip once it’s encrypted and on a previous batch file used -SDEL, will this work here
Thanks
gpg doesn't seem to work file wildcards. You should use for cycle, see this answer for the examples: How to do something to each file in a directory with a batch script
TLDR; Convert the bash line to download sftp files get Inbox/* to c++ or python. We do not have execute permissions on Inbox directory.
I am trying to read the files present in a directory in a remote server through SFTP. The catch is that I only had read and write permissions on the directory and not execute. This means any method that requires opening (cding) into the folder would fail. I need to read the file names since they are variable. From what I understand ls does not require execute privs. If I can get a list of files in the directory then reading then would be fine. Here is the directory structure:
Inbox
--file-a.txt
--file_b.txt
...
I have tried libssh but sftp_readdir required a handle of the open directory. I also looked at paramiko for python but that too requires to open the directory to read the file names.
I am able to do this in bash using send "get Inbox/* ${destination_dir}". Is there anyway I can use a similar pattern match but on c++ or python?
Also, I cannot execute bash commands through my binary. Does anyone know of any library in python or c++ (preferred) that would support this?
I have not posted here in a while so please excuse me if I am not following the formatting. I will learn from your suggestions. Thank you!
On a mac using iCloud file optimization, large files that are seldom used are uploaded to iCloud and only a small pointer file is left. When I look for the file in Finder, I see the file name and to the left is an icon that indicates that the file is in the cloud. To access the file, I click on the icon and the file is downloaded. With the file.exist command, R returns FALSE for the existence of the file. But after some research I found that the file link is stored in a directory below ~/Library/Mobile\ Documents/com~apple~CloudDocsand the file name is changed to xxx.icloud where xxx is the original file name.
Here's an example of the path to a a directory that holds a .icloud file from a shell in my mac
/Users/gcn/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~CloudDocs/Documents/workspace/nutmod/data-raw/NutrientData
I can query for the existence of the file with exists(xxx.icloud). But how do I tell my mac to download the iCloud file and then read it in? Using something like read.table or read.csv doesn't work because the pointer file is not csv.
You can read a csv file directly from a iCloud folder on the Mac by using the path to that folder. Get the path by finding it in the finder. Then right click on the filename at the bottom of the finder window where it shows all the folders leading to the file and choose: Copy "YourFile" as Pathname.
That path will look something like this:
"/Users/NAME/Library/Mobile
Documents/com~apple~CloudDoc/Docs/YourFile.csv"
Use that in your read code:
iCloudDat <- read_csv("/Users/NAME/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~CloudDocs/Documents/YourFileName.csv")
That should work.
If the extension isn't .txt or .csv read.table and read.csv won't work.
you have to download the file and extract the tables to a readable format.
you can download the file using download.file() which is is the utils basic library.
I want to convert folder to jar,
is there any command for cmd in window or good online converter to convert it?
Thanks in Advance.
a jar file is for a java program, if you need to compress a folder into a single file, try zip. You should be able to do it in windows.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14200/windows-compress-uncompress-zip-files
You can install 7zip if you need a command line client.
rsync creates a temporary hidden file during a transfer, but the file is renamed when the transfer is complete. I would like to rsync files without creating a hidden file.
alvits is correct, --inplace will fix this for you. I found this when I had issues syncing music to my phone (mounted on ubuntu with jmtpfs). I would get a string of errors renaming the temporary files to replace existing files.
