I have been trying to find solutions to this everywhere and cannot find any concise, clear instructions on how to set up Flex and Actionscript properly on TextMate. That is, I have the bundles but in terms of setting shell environments etc so that you can compile with ANT, find documentation for keyword (Reference Doc) within the app. For the latter ,when i try and do that it says no documentation found.
My shell env stuff is as follows:
TM_FLEX_PATH /Applications/Adobe Flash Builder Burrito/sdks/flex_sdk_4.5.0.17689
TM_FLASH_HELP /Users/doronkatz/langRef (this is where i have the as doc zip file i downloaded)
The actionscript3.tmbundle comes with a pretty extensive help. Here is the paragraph on documentation:
Documentation is not included with the SDK so has to be installed separately for the documentation command to work. You can download it from this page, or directly as a zip file. Once downloaded please rename the unzipped directory "docs" and place it in your Flex SDK directory.
I was about to say that it doesn't support the Flex4 documentation but I noticed the author made some changes related to the documentation 12 hours ago, so… maybe you should try with the very latest version of the bundle.

There is a issue that is present with some very specific aspect of applications I build using a Qt library provided in repositories of the system I'm using; this issue isn't present with the same numerical build of Qt that I built myself on this exact system.
I would like to query all information about build environment of Qt, it's configuration flags, etc., anything that could help me determine the difference between two build of Qt library.
I've learned about config.summary file, that is present in mine qtbase sources, but there isn't a counterpart anywhere in the system for pre-built version (I have, besides headers, installed a sources and debug information for the qt library packages).
I also tried looking for some header files that could specify, for example, what features were enabled at the build time, but could't locate anything like that (mostly because I don't know the name or some example contents of such file so that I could search for it or grep it), so if there is indeed such file, please point me to it.

If you look inside the "Build" section you have all the system configurations Qt is built for (column "Target") and for each configuration the parameters (column "Configure Arguments").
I am trying to create a project assosiated with the SimConnect SDK.
I am new to QT, and in Visual Studio, I just had a SimConnect.h file, a .lib file, and a .dll file, and I managed to make it work. Now I am trying to create a C++ widget project, using the same SDK, but in QT.
I put the header file in my QT project's folder, where the other default code and header files are located, and then I went to the project and added them as existing files, as I read in Google. I'm having problems with the actual library.
I've been searching Google for a guide on how to add a library file to the project, I did some things I saw on the internet, like the LIBS line for example, but I probably did it wrong, even though it looked very simple.
I am not sure where to drop my dll/library files in the project directory, maybe the problem is I always put them in the wrong spot.
The furthest I got to, was an error message saying "Unresolved external symbol", and a red writing saying ".obj file not found" on every function I tried to use from the SimConnect functions, which probably means QT couldn't find my library/dll file.
I also tried to add the libraries from the "Add library" option in the project, but that didn't work too.
EDIT: it also warns "warning: LNK4272: library machine type 'X86' conflicts with target machine type 'x64'" maybe it has to do something with it.

Solved! My problem was my machine was set to 64bit, while the library was set to 32bit, so I downloaded the 32bit kit, and ran the project through that, and it worked!
I have a project and added a library to it and none of the classes in the library are showing in auto complete / code hinting in MXML. I searched online and read that increasing the memory might help, allowing the type caching to be larger, but I can't find the eclipse.ini or flashbuilder.ini file that they all talk about. I'm using Mac OSX 10.8.
Also, if there is a way to force eclipse to recreate the type cache (classes list) I would rather try that first than mess with the ini file.
I had to select the FlashBuilder icon and choose "Expand or Show package contents" and then it showed more folders. In those folders was the FlashBuilder.ini.
I use GitHub for a C++ / Qt project. GitHub automatically determines the languages of the project from the file extentions. Problem: Qt has a file name ProjectName.pro, which is interpreted to be Prolog by GitHub.
How can I indicate it is NOT Prolog, but C++ ?

custom vendor paths
So in order to finally have Qt project files properly recognized as C++ in language statistics, you can add this line in your .gitattributes file.
*.pro linguist-language=C++

Guys I've written app in qt and when trying to run it (double click on *.exe) I'm getting error that this application cannot start because qtnetwork4.dll isn't available. I've searched my drive and I found few files with this name (and copied one by one every time trying to run my app) but none of them seems to work. How can I solve it?
place into your *.exe - folder appropriate dll-s from %QT_PATH%\bin\
There is an app called Dependency Walker that will let you know what functions in qtnetwork4.dll are being used in your program. It can be found at the following:

All of the DLLs your program use will be from the same installation as the qmake.exe that is used to compile the program. If you are using Qt Creator you can see where the qmake.exe your using is located by going to:
tools->options->Qt4
Get the DLLs that are located at the path displayed here to make sure they will work with your program.
On windows, DLL are looked for in folder where executable lies, then using "PATH" environenment variable.
In your case, you want to put your dll along your executable, taking them from the sdk you're using to compile

To force using QtNetwork and linking it, you have to put
QT += network
in your poject file.
If you're sure you're not using it, you can use
QT -= network
