Website with 2 separate WordPress blogs - wordpress

I have a website, which runs an integrated wordpress blog, the wordpress was installed by my hosting company and it was a one click install. I then went into my FTP and took all the files from the original style and edited it to look like my website and still function. this is all well and good.
However, I would like to run another page on a separate wordpress blog (so there is basically two seperate archiving systems in place as one of the pages is a blog, and the other is articles which are produced monthly).
is there anyway to do this with the one click install, for example through the WP admin Control panel?
Thanks for your help in advance.

You can use Wordpress MU (Multisite) to accomplish this or just install another Wordpress instance.
http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network
Are the two instances you want running on the same domain? Different domains?
In regards to the one click install from your web host, I'm not sure which web host it is or if there are any options for this on there.
Please clarify if you have any further issues. :)

Yes you can use two blogs by the two methods
Install wordpress on SubDomain like site.domain.com
Install wordpress on SubDirectories like domain.com/site
And then you can use both of your site in one another according to your needs and requirements ...

Installing multiple different instances of wordpress on the same website

I currently have a website up and running that is my freelancing website. What I wanted to do was create a testing subdirectory on the website.
So for example my site would be:
website.com
I want the testing site to be: website.com/test
I need this test to be private and require a password to view, as well as be a different installation of wordpress so I can manipulate it without editing my main website. Is this possible? Currently I have created a test directory from the cPanel that requires a password but it just brings me to a 404 not found page.
I would also like to create more, public, instances that I can use as a portfolio until I get more real clients. So for example I would like to have my site be: website.com/themeOne
Is any of this possible, or am I out of luck? Please let me know I would greatly appreciate any help. Anything I found found online thus far has either not been relevant or has not worked.
You can achieve this by setting up a wordpress multisite installation. I currently use this to host all my clients.
Will work like this.. Main site is website.com
Depending on how long you have had that site set up will determine whether your multisite install will be a subdirectory or a subdomain. If you have had your main site for a while it will be subdomains. ie. xyz.website.com
You will have to set up a wild card subdomain on your server though...so keep that in mind.
Here is the documentation on setting up a wordpress multisite
https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/ultimate-guide-multisite/
You can install as many WordPress instances as you like in subfolders example.com/test/ or subdomains test.example.com in one hosting account; see http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_Multiple_Blogs. (You are, of course, limited if your host does not support subdomains. And you may find lots of sites with lots of traffic will slow your whole hosting account.)
For these separate WordPress installs, you can use the same database; simply give each WordPress install a different database table prefix in wp-config.php. https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php Or, give them all the installs a totally different databases, only limited by your hosting account.
To control access to a WordPress site, there is no need for access control in .htaccess or via Cpanel; use any one of a number of plugins that allow you to restrict access to anyone not logged into WordPress. See https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?type=term&q=password
And you can still control the user's role when they are logged into the site with one of those plugins, i.e. editor, administrator, etc., from within WordPress. That's because you want to give a client a Subscriber user level so they can simply login and view the site, rather than Administrator, who can see posts, plugins, etc. See https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities
There is no need for WordPress Multisite, unless you want to go that way: see https://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network But be aware that MS requires more server and DNS configurations if you want to use Domain Mapping: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-mu-domain-mapping/

Should I install a new wordpress to make this happen?

I have a wordpress website called http://mysite.com (example only), I want to have a link http://blog.mysite.com, how would I configure that one using only one wordpress install(same wordpress install on http://mysite.com) and of course the same database that the http://mysite.com uses. Should I just use a plugin or what?
If you want to use 1 wordpress install for two different sites try using http://wordpress.org/support/forum/multisite .
Otherwise, I would agree with the answer above and you would only need to setup a simple redirect in your hosting control panel.
Add a subdomain of a kind http://blog.mysite.com pointing to a location similar to http://mysite.com. In this way both the domains will point to the same wordpress installation.

Running multiple Wordpress sites on a single domain/web server

I have a rather general but very important question. I have built a main website and an eShop for a client. The main website is in Wordpress and I have to find a platform for the eShop, but let's say it's also a Wordpress theme.
Can I install 2 wordpress sites in my hosting server? So for example, the first one will be www.company.com/website and the other being www.company.com/shop.
Yes you can: Installing Multiple Blogs « WordPress Codex.
While all the previous answers are technically correcct - they will have you doing twice the work that is actually needed for your desired outcome (as in two installs, two upgrades, two sets of security checks, two databases, two admin panels... you get the idea - two times the work, all unnecessary).
Since Wordpress 3.0, the WordpressMU features have been integrated into the core. This allows you to run multiple Wordprsss 'sites' from a single install.
Sites can be served from their different domain, sub-domains, or in your case different sub-directories within the same domain and server.
Full information on how to achieve this is available from Wordpress Codex:
Create A Network
Just install one wordpress app in your root directory and create the other directory and install it there, there should be no problem.
Keep in mind that if you are routing around a port 80 blockade (aka using a different port to host your site) then Multi-site WILL NOT WORK. In such an instance multiple WP installations seem to be the ticket.
You can choose a directory relative to your root domain when installing wordpress on your site.

One WordPress in multiple /subfolders

Is it possible to have one WP instance run domain.com/articles and domain.com/tips while the rest of the site would be run by Zend Framework?
What you could do is setup a Wordpress MU site. have the install on domain.com/articles and domain.com/tips and then the rest of the site shouldn't cause any problems.
The only downside is that you basically have two sites for two sections of your site. I just did a Wordpress MU build and it got a little tricky but in the end it all worked and its pretty easy to update, just an extra click or two.
You can install Worpress in your root domain. Make the homepage of the Wordpress install the current homepage of your website with all of the links, layouts, and original site subfolders preserved. Then just have Wordpress take care of the other URLs that you defined above, making sure not to create any Wordpress directories that conflict with the current site directories.

How do I map custom domains to my sites on a multisite Wordpress installation?

I just upgraded one of my many blogs to Wordpress 3.0 and I was glad to see that I now should be able to run all my blogs from a central installation.
I have the multisite stuff configured and up and running, and can create new blogs as I wish.
My host is set up to handle wildcard subdomains, but I'd like to map my already existing, proper domains to sites instead. How do I do this?
Redirecting the domains is not an option.
There's a domain mapping plugin:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-mu-domain-mapping/
If you download the dev version, that will work with 3.0, I'm told:
http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wordpress-mu-domain-mapping/trunk/
There should be a download link at the bottom of that page.
Modrewrite is probably the answer, but without knowing more about the server and how wordpress is doing the multiple blog feature (I use it and have upgraded to 3 as well, but i haven't looked at it very closely), it's hard to give a specific answer.
