authenticate website in qt - qt

how do i go about in authentication of a particular website say facebook on qt?please help.i am new to qt.
say i want to use facebook in qt without using qt's webkit.i want to use the rest apis.the first step i want to do is to authenticate a valid user with a username and password.how do i link this username and password to be entered in qt to that of facebook. how do i start?

I have not tried it myself.
However the authentication you are talking about sounds like a html action, for that you are going to need to use the QtWebkit and the QWebPage, you can then issue JavaScript calls with the mainFrame()->evaluateJavaScript(); function.

How to build a simple HTML Form that sends email on Firebase?

I'm new to Firebase. I just want to build a simple HTML form on Firebase that sends email to me as well as to the user who fills up the form upon submit button click. I do not need any user authentication or database. After that I want this HTML form to be able to embed on my Blogger website, probably using iFrame. So how can I go about doing this?
Based on my understanding, for a HTML form to send email requires server-side coding like ASP.NET and PHP, may I know which language should I use on Firebase? Does Firebase provide such SDK that I can simply write in JavaScript and create a .js file for my form handler?
I already know how to deploy HTML files to my Firebase project using Node.js and get the URL of every file that I deployed, e.g. images, css files etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
With Third Parties (by now)...
After many hours researching about this, the solution seems not to be inside Google at the moment, but using a third party: SendGrid.
Tyson Bailey created a small example and explains this methodology in this blog post.

How To Create Facebook Application programmatically?

I want to create a facebook app from within my code.
When done manually, I have to go to developers.facebook.com, go to the apps section and click on "create a new app". This will create a new app and facebook will ask me to provide the basic information like
App display name
App namespace
Site url
canvas url
This will create a new app.
I want to do the same automatically. Is it possible with RestFb?
Answer to your question is, NO you can't do that by any Facebook method and the reason for the same is similar to the reason that due to which you can't create Page, Facebook user account, Group through Facebook's API and it is security which other poster has listed out.
Think about it. If you could do it by code you could atuogenerate infinite apps automatically. It will be a dangerous security hole to facebook. So, you have to do it manually.

Renaming a facebook page tab

I have created a facebook application to add a page tab in any facebook page.
for this i have a pagetab name in facebook integration of application's setting part.
Suppose i have added the name as "MyFbTab"
Now the problem is when someone add my application to his page then a tab will be added with name MyFbTab , but i want to ask user for a name and then the tab created with the name entered .
I am using facebook js sdk for this
So please help regarding to fb js sdk
I have found a method for this in php sdk but want to do this in js sdk
regards
You can use the API to change the name given to an installed page tab, see here:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/api/page/#tabs
Short version, make a POST request to
/PAGE_ID/tabs/APP_ID?custom_name=MyPageTabName&access_token=PAGE_ACCESS_TOKEN
{edit}
In the Javascript SDK you won't be able to do this directly because the Javascrtipt SDK will be using the user's access token and you'll need to make that call with the page access token you retrieved from the user's /accounts connection earlier.
OAuthException "(#210) Subject must be a page." has an example of someone using Jquery to take the page access token and make the API call that way. In their case they're using it to install a tab rather than edit an existing one, but it's almost exactly the same for your problem

facebook authentication using qt

can authentication for facebook be done without a web browser in qt? the way i want to authenticate is to enter a username and password in text boxes and pass it as parameters in the url? is it possible? please help. thanks in advance.
Taken from this Stack Overflow answer by altuzar:
Have you seen KFacebook, the KDE client for Facebook?
KdePlayground and KFacebook
They have a library for Facebook API and a Plasma Applet as well.
It's easier using jQuery, probably. But Qt4 can do the work, I think.

Link checking a password protected website

I have a requirement to check that all the hyperlinks still work on a password protected, private website. What's the best way of doing this?
The site is mix of HTML and ASP.NET Webforms.
EDIT: Sorry - I don't think this question was clear.
I need something like this:
http://validator.w3.org/checklink
But for a site hidden behind a user/pass form. I don't mind doing something programmatically or purchasing something if it's reasonable.
You should seriously look at the unix command line tools to do this. Esp wget
take a look at the --spider option in combination with the --user and --password options...
Also take a look at curl or libcurl+php
There are two things that are not terrible clear about your question.
First, what sort of user/password are required. These can be POST values or they can be the username and password from the http protocol. Which do you want? There are several ways to provide a username and password to a website, and whatever solution you use has to work with your website. That means that you have to have a very accurate understanding of which method you are using. Just the fact that it has a username and password is not nearly enough information.
Second it is unclear what you mean by "links still work" do you mean internal links that will or will not work based on the proper functioning of your application, or do you mean links to public Internet sites that happen to be on a password protected site?
I am assuming the later with this answer. But if you meant the former then you should look into one of several web application test suites that have recently come available.
HTH,
FT
Rel Software's Web Link Validator works quite happily with Forms Auth based sites - we've been using it on client sites for some time now.
The main things to watch out for are:
Send the link checker to your Login Page first.
Ensure you tell it to ignore all Logout URLs (so it doesn't inadvertently log itself out).
I enjoy using SimpleTest for testing my own websites, but there's no built-in link checker. You could use it to navigate the login and fetch the page body. You'd then parse the content using regular expressions to find all links, and use SimpleTest again to verify those links (and even crawl them to verify recursively).
Of course, using cURL (or libcurl with your language of choice) gets you pretty close, too.
You just need to authenticate the WebRequests ...
Where are you stuck?
-- Edit
Well, it depends on what you mean by 'password protected'. How do is the login scheme implemented?
You can do this using Apache httpclient has the features
