hoping somebody might be able to help me.
I am currently using a hellothemes theme.
I would like to change the colour of the footer links text. Any ideas on how to?
Also can anyone explain the differences between the CSS's on Boxes.css:
Mage_CSS_B Common Elements
Mage_CSS_E Shop Pages
Mage_CSS_F Overrides
etc...
Regards,
Fiona
This question is similiar to your other question..
If you use Firebug for Firefox, you can inspect the Footer link text, and see the line of CSS that is deciding the color. It's much easier than trying to guess what each line of CSS is trying to do.

I am trying to work on a wordpress theme custom made by someone else who is no longer available to answer questions about this so I am turning to you all. I have read a lot of articles but seem unable to resolve the issue. The page in question is live and it is here - https://fourthwalljobs.com/covid-19-resources-for-artists/
IF you code inspect, you will see the paragraph about "unemployment" is supposed to be a red background in that area but isnt. The pseudo is set but doesnt seem to affect anything. Can anyone help shed light on what the issue that is blocking that from occurring seems to be and how I fix that? I prefer to not have to start overriding things on individual pages using the "!important" tag.
Additionally all of the links (which are black and underlined) should be showing as blue color but obviously are not.
I’m designing a wordpress website however I have no experience with html and CSS so when I need to fix bits and bobs of my website, I copy and paste CSS code that I manage to find online and it has been working so far.
The problem I have at the moment is I’m using a forum plugin called wpforo and I would like to edit how the reply / create new topic box looks. It looks very cluttered and unattractive (https://prnt.sc/paccv8).
What CSS could I add such that I could hide a few buttons? Here are some screenshots of how the answer box is laid out on my website. (divs and classes)

Hiding some buttons would be the quick fix, if possible – what CSS could I add such that I could reveal the hidden buttons with an ‘advanced’ button then unreveal it with a ‘basic button’, here are two screenshots to demonstrate what I mean.

Thank you.
I think the default you have is fine to be honest. If you want some space between elements, then you can use margin-top, margin-bottom, margin-left, margin-right for an element. For example #div-name{margin-bottom: 1rem}. Also, if you want the same amount everywhere then insetad of specifying all top, bottom, left, right, you can just use margin: 1rem which will do it for all.
If you want the background colour to change like in one the examples then background-color: blue on the title div would work.
As for the basic and advance button options, you wont be able to do this with CSS. It would require Javascript/jQuery. There will be many tutorials online for how to hide/show elements using jquery, but I think (I haven't used Wordpress enough to know if this is true) you will need to create some javascript file and then attach it to the page somehow. It's a lot of new stuff for a beginner to learn. I would just stick with what you have.
I would also suggest W3Schools as a quick way to learn some basic CSS, which might give you enough to get what you want.
Remember, CSS is for styling, Javascript is for functionality.
I want to create a vertical menu exactly like http://www.bienvillecapital.com/. I have tried few themes having vertical menu and also tried SuperFly menu plugin to get the result. Can anyone help me to get this?
Thank you.
Navigation bars are nothing more than HTML and CSS code aligned properly. I'm not really sure how well you know CSS and HTML, but this can be done with those, and understanding the concept is very direct. Please refer to this page for example: http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_navbar.asp
i've a little bit trouble to fix one thing, may you could help me out with it?

I can't tell you unless I see the CSS. Post the css on something like pastbin.com or if it isn't real long then add it to your question and then you are likely to get some answers, but I can't tell you what is wrong with your CSS from a picture of the results. Too many possibilities.
Now I'm wishing I had asked for a demonstration instead. Am I correct in thinking that the text is part of a horizontal menu and the logo is completely separate and not contained by the text container at all? If this is the case and the image looks and behaves like you want then perhaps it is the menu that needs tweaking to get it to match up correctly. At first I was thinking this was something like a div containing text and an image or having an image as a background.
If you could go ahead and post a link to a page or a pastebin or something that has the html and the css for the menu and the logo together then I'll try it out myself and see if I can find the solution. Someone else may already see it, but I'm still not seeing the clear picture of your situation or a resolution to your problem yet.
Hello
I have quite a strange problem using quicktabs. I used the framework theme to develop a custom look for my site. I used quicktabs in the center content area to create a tabbed look for placing links within the body. Everything is working fine. However, when I view the site in IE8 at a resolution if 1024*768, I have trouble with a few links. It seems that sometimes the first link under my buttons are difficult to click. The link is there - I can actually click it, but it is very difficult to locate - it only appears at the very beginning of the link text - it is not the first letter, it seems to be only the first pixel.
I looked at the source and everything seems to be correct - I can't figure out what could be wrong.
Has anyone seen any similar behavior that might be able to point me in the right direction for a fix for this?
Thanks for any thoughts.
Edit - I looked further into it and I think it has something to do with my CSS. I disabled css in ie8, and every link is clickable, even the ones that were difficult to locate earlier. I guess there must be an overlapping of containers or something, so I will have to start messing around with those files.
It sounds like a CSS thing, have you inspected the elements in question using the developer tools (press F12) to see whats going on?
I found the solution. In the style.css file for my theme, the .block had position: relative; applied to it. removing that bit of themeing appears to have fixed the link issue.
Thanks
