French IIS7 Custom Error Pages Language - asp.net

IIS7 provides custom error pages under;
C:\inetpub\custerr\en-US
However I'd like some other European languages too as by default only English is provided.
Has anyone seen an error page "language pack" for download anywhere. Do I have to install the full windows language pack, I'd rather not.

Tim.

I don't think that exists anywhere. My advice would be to download the language packs to a computer you don't care about and copy them over manually. I assume you're just trying to not pollute your server with unnecessary software.

Change default language alfresco community 5.1.x to vietnamese

My system: Windows 10, Mysql, Alfresco Community 5.1.x
- I go to http://alf-trans.ossportal.org and download 2 file jar for vietnamese (alfresco-vi.jar and share-vi.jar)
- Then I copy 2 file to C:/alfresco/tomcat/shared/lib
- Restart AlfrescoTomcat Service
But language not change..
After restarting the services of Alfresco. I checked the entire directory does not find any files with the extension is _vi.properties
Alfresco does not support all language out-of-the-box, the official list of languages can be found here. However, there are Alfresco Community efforts to support other languages, information on that can be found here. If you look at this link you'll see that it does appear that there is a Community Vietnamese translation available.

.dll files successfully added but are not enabled in the active designer

When I use .dll files in the ASP.net toolbox with the chosen item menu, a message displays like: "The following controls were successfully added to the toolbox but are not enabled in the active designer". I want to use this .dll (Aguage.dll file downloaded from internet & want to use in my project).
What can I do to solve this issue.
This .dll file basically contain a gauge like speed meter of car, clock etc
The following link appears to have the answer to your question (though is slightly different, it appears).
how to import a dll into a asp.net web application running on webserver
So hopefully you should find all the info you need there. However if you need more help do let me know :).
Edit: I have checked and the initial version of the file seems to have been created for .NET 2.0 rather than the version you are currently using. There may be a way to amend the DLL file but I would suggest this is problem.
Edit 2: Works fine on my system with latest version of VSEE 2015 so outdated file doesn't seem to be the issue. Suggest there is a likely a probably with user's setup. More info in comments.

I have uploaded a video to help:

(in reply to the user who previously removed reference to this question, this is not a link only answer by any stretch of the imagination; furthermore, the answer holds information which is likely useful to other users and is part of a process of ongoing inquiry into the roots of the user's issues, which we are more than happy to look into as deeply as the concerned party is willing to furnish us with additional information)
Additional note: At the current time our best information has been forthcoming regarding the problem the user is experiencing. If the user wishes additional support, and assuming Visual Studio had been installed from scratch, we would be ok to remote on to the user's system if they wish us to do so

Team Foundation Server check-in check-out

My team currently uses Visual SourceSafe (VSS) 6.0 as the source control for our team project. Recently we decided the switch to the latest source control technologies such as Team Foundation Server.
SourceSafe has check-in/check-out functionality which works in this way: when I check-out a file, any other team member cannot edit the file until I check-in. Now I am playing with team foundation server, and I am looking for the similar functionality in TFS. But it looks like even if I check-out a file, other team member can still edit and check-in the file. So when I want to check-in my own file I have to resolve all conflicts as now server has different version than I have.
Can anyone tell me if is it possible in TFS to lock a file before editing, thus preventing other users to edit that file and avoiding all merge and resolving conflict issues?
I tried ‘Get latest version of item on check out’ option. But this does not work for local workspace. So if I enable this option, and do check-in, it completely removes changes in my local file that I am intended to check-in and replaces it with latest server copy.
Can anyone give me any suggestion?
Thank you.
This link might be helpful for this, I believe setting off "Multiple checkout" will do what you want.

Website running .NET 3.5 cannot use feature not part of ISO-2 specs

I am getting this error a lot:
Feature '{insert feature here}' cannot be used because it is not part of the
ISO-2 C# language specification
I am working on a .NET 3.5 website that I've worked on on and off for about two years. I've never seen this error before my most recent around of updates. I'm using a decent amount of LINQ coding throughout and I get these errors related to much of the LINQ code. Based on what I've read it seems like even though I'm using .NET 3.5, for some reason it thinks I'm using 2.0. But I can't find anything that says how to fix it.
One example of a problem is that if I try to add a new item to the App_Code directory, I do not get the option to add a LINQ to SQL dbml file.
If anyone can shed some light on how exactly I would fix this, I would much appreciate it.
I was unable to locate an "Advanced" option under the build tab. I have a feeling it is probably because it is a web app. I looked through the web.config and found 2 parts that may be important. Most things referenced 3.5.0.0 or v3.5. The settings are consistent with older backups of the web.config from when there were no errors. By the way, only intellisense and things within VS2010 are giving me problems. The website is running error free.
I have completed a total uninstall and re-install of VS2010 and I'm still having the same issue. I fired up my old install of VS2008 and I am NOT having this issue there. However, I would MUCH prefer to use VS2010 on this project.
I opened the website in VS2010 on my work computer, and there are no errors reported. This is making me think that there is something on my laptop that is causing the problem. As I noted above, I completely reinstalled Visual Studio 2010 and I am still having the problem. What does this leave? I have only one extension installed in VS, and it's the same one at work and on my laptop. Also, I did not reinstall the extension after reinstalling VS, and the problem persists.
Both PC's run Win7 Ultimate. Have VS2008 and VS2010 installed. VS2010 has the same extension installed on both. On my laptop I have the full version of SQL Server 2008 installed, but only the Management Studio on my desktop (we have a server in the office). Would SS2008 have anything to do with it?
Go to your project properties, the Build tab, Advanced - that should allow you to set which version of C# you want to use. It should default to the latest version supported by the version of Visual Studio you're using, but it sounds like at some point you've switched it to ISO-2.
(That's certainly true for Windows projects and class libraries - there may be a different location in a web app. In particular, have a look in Web.config.)
If this has only started happening recently, I'd have a look through your source control history at changes to any configuration files. Also try creating a new project of the same type, and see if that has the same problem.
Jon Skeet's answer is mostly correct. The location for the update is in the "Property Pages" which I got to by right-clicking on the name of the website, clicking Property Pages, the Build item, then target framework.
The extension I use, Solution Navigator, has it's own heading for the solution. Right-clicking on it DOES NOT give me the Property Pages option. By chance I right clicked on the title of the website under the solution heading and was presented with the Property Pages option. In there was the Build tab which contained the target framework option.
Once I finally found the target framework option, it was indeed set to .NET 2.0 for some reason. I changed it to 3.5, reloaded the solution, and now it works great.
Thanks a million Jon for your help and time working with me!!

handling extension less urls: how to install QFE extension?

So I've found an article how asp.net 4.0 can skip handling of static resources (.css, .js, images), it mentions QFE extension for IIS, that is here. Problem is, that when I', trying to install it (on windows 7 x64), it says
The update is not applicable to your computer.
Love the obscurity of error message, I could think of several reasons why is this so:
I have it already (may be it was included in SP1, may be something else, file versions do not match with listed on update, my hwebcore.dll version is 7.5.7600.16385), but it does not work (how to check that?)
I has some dependencies, how to find out which?
Broken update on MS site, is there fixed version, how can i get it?
Other?
UPDATE: As I mentioned, dll's version is different from provided in hotfix page (my is 7.5.7600.16385 and theirs 7.5.7600.20654).
Looks like update is not needed (not sure why - because .net update/windows sp1/or smth else).
Update:
as long as I have production server with Win 2008 and IIS 7.0, update was required and installed successfully, so I don't have enough data, but it may that IIS 7.5 does not require that update anymore.
