I have created a mail server using postfix, dovecot and squirrelmail in centos7.
For example if the email is abcd#something.com. How to hide #Something.com and show only abcd in the receiver's inbox?
Although not really a programming question, the solution is that the "From" header in the email has to have a display name part such as:
From: "My Name" <abcd#example.com>
Then the "My Name" part will show in most email clients upon arrival. In SquirrelMail (and most other email clients), the way you make sure this happens it to go to the personal information options and make sure you have something filled in the full name field.

I use the Firebase Trigger Email extension to send emails. This extension allows to send one email to multiple addresses. When I do this, everything goes well, but the recipient can see all the addresses that are also receiving the email. How do I hide it?
As explained here in the Extension's detailed doc, you can use the bcc field instead of the to one.
To do so, the document you create in the "Email documents collection" (as named in the configuration screen), shall have a bcc field instead of a to one, as follows:

I have an email for customer, Its bcc we have the Subscriber's company Email.Email Contain a link to web page.Now the problem is the link is passing IsCustomer=true which becomes the reason for a function to be executed.I want to replace IsCustomer=true with IsCustomer=false or disable the link for BCC only.
I do not have an option to send two separate emails.
Technically, the requirement seems weird to me as why we should be able to change the email content of same email for recipient and BCC.
I have studied the personalizations topic here and I am doubtful about this.
Is there any way to achieve that?
iam using QT and Qsslsocket to get some emails body from Gmail using IMAP, I started using the IMAP command to log in, check how many emails I have, and fetch the data from the email I selected I use this commands sure after connected to IMAP using hostname and port.

but the email contains normal message have normal words the strange is when i test with another gmail, i take this email from first email and send it forward message to my second email, it give me the normal text in it! so please any help i can't understand what is the problem, also what i tried is using openssl which give me same result as QT strange words, and javaMail library and extract text from first email it worked? so is the problem from the imap command i used or what?

when i start some search i checked that this message is encoded to base64 and when i used online decoder it convert to the normal text but the question now is what command should i use so that i can fetch this message body text in normal text automaticly if there is such away.

but I have a requirement where, I need to change Email Subject and Email body as per different type of companies.
For e.g. if a CompanyType: Member, then EmailSubject: "Memebers Need to Sign NDA", and Mail Body : "Dear Member, Please sign... large text"
If CompanyType :Prospect , then different wordings for Subject and Mail Body.
Right now , I have to hard code single mail wordings and bound to use same email subject and body for both types of company and I can't change it dynamically.
I don't want to create separate powerform templates again for mebertype and prospecttype and under each again one for EmailMode and another for DirectMode.
Do you have any solution ?

I’ve a bit of annoying problem with a Drupal site. I’ve a “recommend to a friend” field where one can send an article link to an E-mail address. The problem is, that it uses the variable !name in the mail and when I’m receive a mail, it uses the name before the “#” in my mail.
I use my mail as username, so if I’ve registered a user with the username: johndoe#google.com it will present the !name variable as johndoe.
What I want is to display the first name (and maybe the last name) so it says: John Doe recommends this article …
But how can I do that? I’ve search like crazy for the setting.

To replace user names in quotes by reals names it's necessary to replace Phorum´s standard function for quoting. Since it only makes sense to have one module modifying the quoted text, you can disable this one part of this module. Use System Sanity Checks to control if there is only one module using the quote hook. The default value is "disabled".
