Some months ago I've launched a app about recipes with youtube API, so the user can read the recipe and watch the video. The videos and recipes are not made by me, but I have permission to use all of them in my app and their attribution is write at the ending of the recipes.
This week I have received this warning from AdMob:
**Valuable inventory: Scraped content**
As stated in our Program policies, we may not show Google ads on pages or apps with little or no value and/or excessive advertising to the user. This includes pages or apps that are scraping or rewriting of content from other sources without adding value. Please see Google’s Webmaster quality guidelines for thin content with little or no added value for more information.
For more information, review the following resources:
Policy tips for creating high quality sites (part 1)
Policy tips for creating high quality sites (part 2)
Webmaster quality guidelines
AdSense Program policies
In AdSense policies is clear that if there is a Attribution to the owner it is not considered scraping.
How can I make an aproppiated attribution to avoid this?
I can't just write with my words all the recipes on the app, and I have other 6 apps similar to this one.
My app:
Receitas de Frango deliciosas
The actual attribution at the ending of the recipe (Receita por:)
I have fixed it!
To avoid being detected as a simple scratched content, turn the TextView with the copied content into multiple CheckBoxes. In my case, as a recipe apps I have implemented that in the ingredients, so each line break is a CheckBox.
Create a empty LinearLayout in the xml file:
<LinearLayout
android:id="#+id/checkBoxesid"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:orientation="vertical"></LinearLayout>
After that turn the String from the TextView, that you suspect to be scratched, into a String array and multiple checkboxes in that LinearLayout.
String[] ingredient = ingredients.split("\n");
ArrayList<CheckBox> checkBoxList = new ArrayList<>();
LinearLayout myLinearLayout = findViewById(R.id.checkBoxesid);
if(ingredient != null) {
for(String ingredient1 : ingredient) {
CheckBox checkBox = new CheckBox(getApplicationContext());
checkBox.setText(ingredient1);
checkBoxList.add(checkBox);
myLinearLayout.addView(checkBox);
}};

I am new to "Here" and I am using Here SDK Flutter 4.3.3.0. I want to fetch/search for places and get the Place's Photos/Image and or Place's Logo if the place is a business/company.
The place images place.details.internalimages are always empty when I search for any place. I tried for different countries like "Chipotle" a restaurant near Las Vegas, a restaurant in Canda, and a Shopping mall in India. All of these return 0 (zero) images. Does, Here API support to get places photos like Google Places or TomTom API?
Looks like this API has a method to get WebImage List but does not contain any data at all. Please advise, If I need to use any other method to get Place's photos.
Another question is, is there a way to get a company logo, if the place I am searching for is a business/company like Restaurant, Store, etc.
Below is the code, I use in my Flutter application. Note, I am able to get other field values like title, address, etc.
TextQuery textQuery = TextQuery.withAreaCenterInCountries('some partial place name', geoCoordinates, countryCodes);
searchEngine.suggest(textQuery, searchOptions, onHereSearchSuggestionCompleted);
In onHereSearchSuggestionCompleted functions, I have the following code:
if(suggestions.length > 0){
print('explore - onHereSearchSuggestionCompleted - suggestions count > 0');
for (Suggestion suggestion in suggestions) {
print('onHereSearchSuggestionCompleted - current count = ${(suggestions.indexOf(suggestion) + 1)}');
print('onHereSearchSuggestionCompleted - suggestion title = ${suggestion.title}');
print('onHereSearchSuggestionCompleted - place id = ${suggestion.place.id}');
print('onHereSearchSuggestionCompleted - place title = ${suggestion.place.title}');
print('onHereSearchSuggestionCompleted - place address = ${suggestion.place.address.addressText}');
print('onHereSearchSuggestionCompleted - place img length = ${suggestion.place.details.internalimages.length}');
}
}
Please note, you have been able to see this functionality being exposed in flutter SDK due to a bug exposing internal methods in flutter. In general this functionality is not yet public (not in native android and iOS).
We plan to expose this functionality soon, however even when we do, only certain eligible customers would have access to the image content. There should be contractual agreement to be able to see this functionality
I'm trying to use Google Analytics as a data stream for Google Data Studio but it requires me to have a property view. There is no option for me to create a view in my property in the administration page:
There is no column named Views:
Is there something I need to do to be able to create new views?
OBS.: My Google Analytics account was imported directly from Firebase.
Google Analytics is changing and it is a bit confusing. I will try to clarify it for you. As far as I have gone, evolution has been:
1.- "App + web property" (Beta phase)
2.- "Universal Analytics" (*) (until 14-Oct-2020): It is identified because the account number is preceded by "UA-" eg. UA-123456789 (Attention, sometimes it is not very obvious and you have to create a new user to see the UA prefix). This option is only suitable for the monitoring and analysis of Web pages and has the option of analysis using "Views" enabled. If you don't have it, you should:
2.a.- Create a new "Property"
2.b.- "Show advanced options"
2.c.- Activate "Create an Analytics Property"
2.d.- Create only one "Universal Analytics" Property
3.- "Google Analytics 4": It is identified because the account number is preceded by "GA4-" eg. GA4-123456789. In this case, the analysis is not done through "View" but through "Data Stream" (** incorporating a series of improvements) although Google offers the possibility of creating two "Properties" one in UA format with Views and another in GA4 format with Data Stream
In all cases, you must place the corresponding gtag provided by Google Analytics within the tag of the page you want to analyze.

This is a good answer to that question. I had the same problem. In case the URL doesn't load, essentially,...
"If you set up a Google Analytics 4 property with a Web data stream, you have a Measurement ID (which begins with "G-").
If you set up a Universal Analytics ("Web") property (Universal Analytics properties have views instead of data streams), you have a Tracking ID (which begins with "UA-")."
You cannot have the property be a Google Analytics 4 property with a web data stream and have a view page as well. If you want the View page, then when you create the property, make sure its Universal Analytics.
Hope this helps, I'm new to this game.
I am developing an app for Android TV is it possible to know, on which TV my app is running or what action is performed on it?
Thank you.
To review your app's supported devices:
Sign in to your Play Console.
Select an app.
On the left menu, click
Release management > Device catalog. If you haven't already, review
and accept the Terms of Service.

To track action performed on your app, you can use Fabric's Answers plug in.
Here is a sample code you'll need to add in your code to track events in Answers:
public void onKeyMetric() {
// TODO: Use your own string attributes to track common values over time
// TODO: Use your own number attributes to track median value over time
Answers.getInstance().logCustom(new CustomEvent("Video Played")
.putCustomAttribute("Category", "Comedy")
.putCustomAttribute("Length", 350));
}

I am creating an application where I need to provide Drive Picker widget so that users can upload some files. Now I want to restrict users so that they can only select files from their "Team Drives" and not from anywhere else.
I've tried adding method in onPickerInit event.
Here's my function which is getting called in onPickerInit event,
function fetchFolder(widget, pickerBuilder) {
pickerBuilder.addView(new google.picker.DocsView()
.setParent('TeamDriveId')
.setIncludeFolders(true));
}
This method restricts users to select only from particular Team Drive, however my question is how can I give dynamic option so that users can select from any of their Team Drives and not limited to one Team Drive. Also they should not be able to select from their own Google Drives.
It seems that this case requires low level Drive Picker tuning, so lets start from removing all settings that App Maker gives us out of the box:
Remove all features
Remove all views
Then add the following script to the onPickerInit event
// Enable Team Drives
pickerBuilder.enableFeature(google.picker.Feature.SUPPORT_TEAM_DRIVES);
// Let users to select files from any Team Drive
var multiTeamDrive = new google.picker.DocsView();
multiTeamDrive.setIncludeFolders(true)
.setEnableTeamDrives(true);
pickerBuilder.addView(multiTeamDrive);
// This feature need to be set to force `setParent` work.
// Seems to be Drive Picker's bug
pickerBuilder.enableFeature(google.picker.Feature.MULTISELECT_ENABLED);
// Force users to upload files to a specific Team Drive
var uploadView = new google.picker.DocsUploadView();
uploadView.setParent('Fancy KEY from Team Drive folder URL')
.setLabel('Upload to Team Drive XXX');
pickerBuilder.addView(uploadView);
Result
Notes
I didn't find a way to hide the tab for the Personal Drive upload. It is strange that App Maker adds it by default and there is no option to remove it.
I also recommend to add server side validation for the files selected by users to ensure that they originate from Team Drive.

I started building a app that will automatically download my delicious bookmarks, and save to a database, so they I can view them on my own website in my favoured format.
I am forced to use oAuth, as I have a yahoo id to login to delicious. The problem is I am stuck at the point where oAuth requires a user to manually go and authenticate.
Is there a code/ guidelines available anywhere I can follow? All I want is a way to automatically save my bookmarks to my database.
Any help is appreciated. I can work on java, .net and php. Thanks.
Delicious Provides an API for this already:
https://api.del.icio.us/v1/posts/all?
Returns all posts. Please use sparingly. Call the update function to see if you need to fetch this at all.
Arguments
&tag={TAG}
(optional) Filter by this tag.
&start={#}
(optional) Start returning posts this many results into the set.
&results={#}
(optional) Return this many results.
&fromdt={CCYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ssZ}
(optional) Filter for posts on this date or later
&todt={CCYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ssZ}
(optional) Filter for posts on this date or earlier
&meta=yes
(optional) Include change detection signatures on each item in a 'meta' attribute. Clients wishing to maintain a synchronized local store of bookmarks should retain the value of this attribute - its value will change when any significant field of the bookmark changes.
Example
$ curl https://user:passwd#api.del.icio.us/v1/posts/all
<posts tag="" user="user">
<post href="http://www.weather.com/" description="weather.com"

There are also public and private RSS feeds for bookmarks, so if you can read and parse XML you don't necessarily need to use the API.
Note however that if you registered with Delicious after December, and therefore use your Yahoo account, the above will not work and you'll need to use OAuth.
There are a number of full examples on the Delicious support site, see for example: http://support.delicious.com/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=3698
