Adding artifactory hosted repository to nexus - artifactory

Trying to figure out how to add an artifactory repository to nexus repository manager OSS..
Specifically, https://software.r3.com/artifactory/corda/
When added as proxy repo, I cannot for the life of me get it to populate 'browse index' or 'browse storage'... 'browse remote' displays all dirs/files just fine.
running Nexus Repository Manager OSS 2.12.0-01

Figured this out.
It does not mirror or index the entire repository, it only pulls files specifically asked for by maven during build process.

Is it possible to synch from our own Artifactory repo to Maven Central?

For some time, we have published all our artifacts to our own repository, which we host ourselves, using JFrog Artifactory.
We have some open source libraries we want to publish to Maven Central, and have come to the point where can publish every new version to Maven Central as a manual step. Now, we want to automate this, and the two options seems to be to either integrate it into our CI workflow or to sync it from our repository. Synching is the easier solution if we can make it work. Sonatype provide some straight forward instructions for doing so with the Nexus Repository Manager here: https://central.sonatype.org/publish/large-orgs/sync/
However, Nexus does not run on Artifactory, so the question is: How do we sync from Artifactory to Maven Central? (Or is it even possible? A confirmation that this is not possible would also be very valuable.)
The use case is to sync the artifacts in Artifactory to the Maven central and it is not possible from the Artifactory side.

How do I get (remote/virtual) repositories to actually show up in Artifactory OSS' repository administration page?

I have an instance of Artifactory OSS (latest version) running in a docker container locally.
We have a remote instance of Artifactory (non-OSS) running as well.
In my local instance, I set up a remote repository of package type Ivy pointing to each of the repositories we have set up in our remote non-OSS instance.
Once I have created a remote repository configuration, I can view each remote repository I created and its artifacts being served under the Application --> Artifactory --> Artifacts page HOWEVER under the Administration --> Repositories --> Repositories page where I am expecting to be able to make changes to the configurations (I have logged in as Admin with administrator privileges btw), none of the repositories I set up are actually visible here! I only see a 0 Repositories count and a No remote repositories message where I am expecting to see a list.
When I do Ivy resolves against my local (remote repository) it works as expected, so they're definitely working... just not showing up for administration.
I have tried rolling back to earlier versions of Artifactory OSS but that hasn't changed anything.
I can tediously work around this with a combination of the REST API and the UI but I REALLY JUST want to be able to administer the configurations within the web app... Am I just being dumb about something or is there a known issue regarding this? I have searched around and I haven't found an answer to this issue, so any help or direction would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I was able to reproduce it on my end on as well on version 7.19.1, seems this issue happens when working with Ivy on Artifactory OSS.
I have opened a bug for this on JFrog Jira.

Remote Go Registry to a self hosted Git repo (not Github/Gitlab/bitbucket)

How can I create a remote repo to a Git server, which is not GitHub, and is hosted on prem (along with Artifactory)?
We currently use Go mod or Glide with "regular" git clone and no Artifactory. In order to make the transition from "regular" to Artifactory smooth, I have to create a remote registry to point to my Git server and setup GOPROXY. Since part of the artifacts will be in Artifactory Go-local and part of them will be in the Git server I might be facing a problem. I think that even JFrog-cli tool will have to make 2 step to pull the data (first with --no-registry and the second "with-registry").
Since the docs explains only how to setup Github and GoCenter remote registries, and I would like to be able to pull code from any other type of git servers as well.

Pull Artifacts from Nexus into XL Deploy

We have XLDeploy being used to deploy application. We do not want to use default feature where Nexus pushes new XL deploy whenever it get new artifacts. On the need basis we want to pull the artifacts from Nexus into XL Deploy. What are the steps?
You will need first to Configure XL Deploy to fetch artifacts from a repository, Then you can add an externally stored artifact to a package .. You may also have a look on this tutorial deploy an externally stored artifact using the cli which will show you how to use the XL Deploy (CLI) to deploy an artifact from a Maven repository such as Artifactory or Nexus.
You can also try using the XLRelease and give the configuration details with Nexus repository. That will help you out!

How can I push a repository to my computer and my online server?

I have figured out how to create a repository on github. Now I am trying to push the repository to both my macbook pro and my server, which is hosted through http://namecheap.com, and be able to understand how to keep things simple. I am using wordpress on my server and I have a template theme. I want to edit my files on my mac and then push them to the website, keeping everything easy.
There is plenty of information out there on how to get started with github, so I will just focus on clearing up a misconception:
Now I am trying to push the repository to both my macbook pro and my server
You do not push from github to a server. You need to clone your github repo to your development (macbook) and production (server) environments.
git clone https://github.com/USERNAME/REPOSITORY.git
https://help.github.com/articles/fetching-a-remote/
Alternatively, you can push existing code to an empty repository by initializing locally, setting your remote and then pushing
git init
git add -A
git commit -m "Initial commit"
git remote add origin https://github.com/USERNAME/REPOSITORY.git
git push origin master
Once you have your repo setup, your typical workflow will look something like this:
Make changes in your development environment (macbook).
push those changes to github.
pull those changes from github in your production or staging environment (server).
One of the main things you need to use git this way is access to a terminal on the hosting serve, to push your files directly through git that should be installed as well.
Alternatively you can upload file using any available protocol such as (s)FTP or SSH direct to your server. In this case you'll be using git to version and manager your templates but not to upload or release them.
I've seen that cheapnames.com provides Softaculous as a mechanism to manage their servers. This software also provides synch and install scripts.
