When I log into my Wordpress backend it is text only. This is on my test website, where I trial and make changes prior to making changes on the live site.
I have tried the following:
1. Disabled all plugins.
2. Removed .htaccess.
3. Restored to a known working point.
4. Tried copying the live site that works, then updated wpconfig.php and the database.
Despite the above, it is the same result - Wordpress backend is text only.
Help please to get my website working normally again.
Thanks

I'm working on re-developing an existing WordPress site. The site is hosted on Azure and is currently up to date # v4.9.5.
Before i can even get started working on the site, i noticed a strange issue where if you click a link to the site twice in a row, the second time the site returns as a blank page with no resources loaded and no errors.
I've turned wp_debug on and error_reporting and the screen is completely blank. All plugins up to date, and i've deactivated all of them and switched to a standard theme and no change.
Not sure where to go from here, any help is greatly appreciated.
The site is located here.
Resolved in the last comment. Azure was throwing a server error which went un-noticed. Converting the page back to an ASP based page solved the issue.
I recently moved a wordpress website from one host to another and my homepage doesn't load. Its a standard homepage that shows my latest posts.
I tried disabling plugins and changing themes, but it still doesn't load up. Other pages on the website load up properly via direct link, but not the homepage.
Has anyone ever faced this? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
How are you trying to access the homepage?
Please make sure you have set the homepage as your front page under General -> Reading settings page.
See this image
Start troubleshooting from the very first thing go to setting and check whether the front static page is set with desired home page or not, secondly go to permalinks set it to default then reset to desired structure, third go to general setting double check the website new URL mention there is exactly same. After checking all these elements problem still existing so I must recommend you to re import the complete website all over again to avoid future hassles. There is nothing big rocket science behind migration you can use All-in-One WP Migration or follow the 3 steps WordPress migration guide. Sometime its happens when database or the core files are not import properly WordPress usually back fire many errors and exceptions.
I have installed the buddypress Version 2.6.2.
The whole WordPress is working fine but the links to create like add group (buddypress links) is not not working. Other links are working fine.
I searched the whole internet about this issue but still no success.
I have tried everything :
setting pages for everything that buddypress wants
changing permalinks
The error I am getting is
The requested URL /wordpress/groups/create/ was not found on this server.
I am running WordPress on localhost.
Things to do after installing Buddypress
create all the pages for buddypress
set the pages in setting section of buddypress
flush the permalinks ( go to permalinks and click on save changes.
Yes, that's it.)
turn on the rewrite module in your wamp/xampp server
restart your wamp/xampp server
A note for other people landing here because of 404 Not Founds when trying to create or access groups.
One interesting thing about BuddyPress is that it doesn't allow to have core pages as children/parents of each other.
In my case, I had Activity > Groups, which didn't throw any error whatsoever, however caused a very strange behaviour around groups where I couldn't create or access any group.
Solved by making the three main BuddyPress pages siblings (or just ensuring they're not parents/children of each other, really).
Page structure:
# Works fine
- Members
- Groups
- Activity
# Fails
- Activity > Groups <- This causes the error
- Members
Original answer here, however, I did have to browse a while until I found it, BuddyPress forums are so from the 90s...
I'm having issues adding and editing content blocks in a main area using the out of the box Elemental theme. I've made no modifications to the theme or global areas whatsoever. Concrete5 installs and configures with no errors (green checkmarks on all required items) and looks great until I try to edit a page to add or edit a content block to an area.
This is my first foray into the world of Concrete5 and I have to say I'm definitely impressed so far. I'm just hoping I can get this resolved so I can really use it, so any help is definitely appreciated!
Things I've tried
At first I suspected it was just a matter of waiting for any weird page locks to clear, but I logged out and left it overnight and I'm having the same problem this afternoon.
Next I came across suggestions that it could be an issue with a parent or other element having too high of a Z-index, but I was unable to find a parent with a higher index.
I've checked the JavaScript console and only have one error which I don't believe is related, but I could be wrong.
Error: jquery.js.pagespeed.jm.iDyG3vc4gw.js:1 - "Synchronous XMLHttpRequest on the main thread is deprecated because of its detrimental effects to the end user's experience."
Checked my webserver's error log, nothing but a missing file (iphone4.jpg).
Verified that the MD5 checksum of my zip file matches that listed on the Concrete5 website.
I've installed Concrete5 from the same zip file on a different domain and am seeing the exact same issue.
Installed Concrete5 5.7.4.2 in my test environment. Exact same symptom.
The environment
Host: Dreamhost
Cloudflare: NOT enabled
PHP version: 5.6 (5.3.3 in the environment I was testing the install in)
Web server: Apache 2.2.22
Database: mysql 5.1.56
Browser: Chrome v44, Microsoft Edge v20, Firefox v40
Reproducing the issue
Here's one way I can reproduce the issue:
Create a new Empty Page.
Click the Empty Main Area and select Add Block.
Click Content in the left block menu.
After a consistent 6 second delay, the content editor appears. A bit weird to see a delay, but the editor looks OK.
Add content. Nothing fancy, for testing I've just been typing "This is my edit."
Click Save.
The editor toolbar disappears, but everything but the Content block is still greyed out and inactive/inaccessible. (See screenshot)
Refresh the page and everything is accessible again, I'm still in edit mode, but my Content Block is gone.
I get the same result if I add a Content Block to an existing page (Home), if I edit an existing Content Block. Clicking Cancel on the editor toolbar has the same result, but leaves me viewing the HTML of the content in the editor.
HTML, Feature, and Form blocks all seem to go in just fine.
This works just fine on my 5.7 sites on Dreamhost
.htaccess
<IfModule pagespeed_module>
# ----- Google's mod_pagespeed can break c5 request URLs
ModPagespeedDisableFilters trim_urls
# ModPagespeed off
</IfModule>
Whelp, Dreamhost has a feature called Page Speed Optimization turned on by default. This feature uses an Apache module developed by Google called mod_pagespeed. Disabling this eliminates the issue.
Error: jquery.js.pagespeed.jm.iDyG3vc4gw.js:1 - "Synchronous XMLHttpRequest on the main thread is deprecated because of its detrimental effects to the end user's experience."
As we do plan on using Google Analytics, I'm testing that now to make sure I can still use it with mod_pagespeed by pasting the Google tracking code into the Tracking Codes section of C5's settings. If I can't, I'll be asking another question!
Edit: I tried disabling mod-pagespeed's url re-writing as per this suggestion, but to no avail.
Edit 2: Google Analytics works just fine if I put the tracking code into Concrete5 instead of Dreamhost.
so I'm working on a wordpress site (found at nsuited.com) and my problem is that the checkout is causing a redirect loop. I have searched the internet for this problem and it mostly seemed to be related to forcing ssl or using an https wordpress plugin. I am doing neither, and everything was running fine until randomly the redirect started occurring. There's way too much code to post it all, but if there is anything specific you'd like to see let me know. I have tried changing the woocommerce checkout page, which then allowed me to access the checkout page as a page itself but I could not actually checkout from it. If I try to go to whatever page is set to checkout, BAM redirect loop again. I'm at a huge loss and have not been able to find any significant leads from debugging. Please help :(
EDIT: Also pertinent information - I recently moved my installation from a subfolder to root, though the checkout page was working since I moved installations
Problem solved.
I had tried this before without succes:
Add
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '96M');
to the file "wp-config.php". When I added it initially, I put it at the end to no avail. Put it as the very first line of code for glory.
