MS Project 2016 x64
I created an add-in in Visual Studio.
When debugging, it works.
How can I add Addin to the MS Project so that it works without Visual Studio?

It shall be published - please use project properties => Publish tab for that - to get setup.exe and .vsto manifest file generated. Then please install it.

I did full install of BizTalk including developer tools (after installing Visual Studio 2019). I have also done a repair and reboot since then.
I see this .vsdir file on the disk: "c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft BizTalk Server\Developer Tools\BizTalkProjects\BTSProjects.vsdir", but not sure how to make it work with VS2019.
File contains this:
Schema Files|{7a51b143-7eea-450d-baef-827253c52e43}|#221|140
BTSFlatFileSchema.vsz|{7a51b143-7eea-450d-baef-827253c52e43}|#134|7|#135|0|229|0|#136
JSONSchemaWizard.vsz|{7a51b143-7eea-450d-baef-827253c52e43}|#144|8|#145|0|229|0|#146
##Documentation about Adding Wizards to the Add Item could be found here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/2sc7ft4a.aspx
The link in the file refers to a Visual Studio 2014 web page.
Expected result, click "Create New Project" in BizTalk, type BizTalk and be able to pick the template.
I have tried these two commands that might have fixed in older releases, not sure if they are applicable with VS2019:
devenv /setup templates
devenv /InstallVSTemplates
Copied from Biztalk 2020 - Project not showing in Visual Studio 2019
From the installer:
".To use this feature, you must also install the following: BizTalk Project Extension, Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) Administration. For more information on this component, click Help. "
And the Install BizTalk Server 2020 documentation:
To complete Developer Tools component installation, install BizTalk Server extension in Visual Studio.
To achieve this you need to:
Start Visual Studio and load into an empty IDE
Click Extensions, Manage Extensions
Search the online tab for BizTalk Server:
Install the BizTalk Server extension
Close all instances of Visual Studio
Let VSIX installer complete
Start Visual Studio and select BizTalk from the project types

We have a website for which we would like to point to our visual studio app to. Is it possible in visual studio we can create an app where we have a container running our website. Currently I have installed visual studio and it's asking me for which modules of visual studio I should download. I don't want to install unnecessary modules.

Thank you.
Yes, you could create a C# windows forms application and add a webbrowser from the toolbox. in the properties window set the dock to fill it and then in the url box type the url and you're done.
I installed VSStudio 2015 from here: http://www.asp.net/vnext
Installation says success but I have no icon on desktop to run why?
VS2015RC installation did not put an icon on my desktop either, it is in the application menu though.
The exe should be located here.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio
14.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe
You can create a shortcut and put it on the desktop yourself.
If you cannot find the folder maybe you need to reinstall or repair the installation.
The official download site is here. The community edition should have all you need to get started with ASP.NET 5 and all the vNext stuff.
I have an Asp.Net project in Visual Studio 7.1 , Now when I open it in Visual Studio 2008 , I can't access to project files :
(source: picfront.org)
How can I open the project with VS2008 or VS2010 ?
Open the sln file with a simple text editor (make backup)
and search for your project that did not find, and correct the directory path.
You have probably a line like that... you need to fix the dir, saved it and open it again.
Project("{XXXX-XXXXX-XXXX}") = "PECeShopSame",
"Dir1\PECeShopSame\PECeShopSame.csproj", "{XXXX-XXXXX-XXXX}"
I see this is old post but I learned that you can also accomplish converting the .csproj file by browsing to the .csproj file and double-clicking on it. Visual Studio will open and offer to convert it for you - follow the wizard. As a final step in the wizard, it will prompt you to select the project in solution explorer and convert to web application.
I had situation where the files didn't appear in solution explorer after converting .csproj file therefore I couldn't select "convert to web application". I closed the (empty) solution then opened as web site (instead of project/solution) and all was well!
When I create a new ASP.NET project in Visual Studio 2010, it creates the scripts directory, like it should, however the version of JQuery it sticks under the scripts directory is an old version of JQuery. Version 1.36 I believe. How can I update this so that Visual Studio 2010 will include the newest version of jquery? I know I can remove it and manually add it, but I don't want to have to do this everytime I create a new project.
Have a look here:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\ProjectTemplates\Web\CSharp\1033
(obviously, adjusting the path to your local PC if needed, and there is a separate folder for VB there as well)
Every .zip file is a project template. Update as needed.
