Google App Maker Query Builder - google-app-maker

Created a simple app to keep track of the company fax numbers. In my header I have a search box where I want user's to search either by First Name, Last Name or both First and Last Name. I added the below to Query Builder
firstName contains? :SearchText or
lastName contains? :SearchText
Searching by first name or last name works just fine. How can I search by both first and last name? Right now when I search by both I get no results. Thanks.

"User Picker" widget should be a good fit for your case.
If you want to keep custom employees model please consider the following options:
Add Name field ("FirstName LastName") so contains operator would give expected result
Switch datasource to Query Script and process search query

MS CRM 2013 Process Update Account - multiple values to one field

I'm trying to implement an update procedure like the one in this blog post (via extra entity and workflow updating account, triggered when the new entity is being created)
http://www.powerobjects.com/2013/08/01/updating-records-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm/
In my list and the new entity "Account Update" I have 3 fields for the full name of a company (name, name_2, name_3).
In my workflow I want to put these 3 together and combine their values in the Account field "Company" (the company's name).
In the process I tried to insert them via the "Form Assistant" and in the field "Company" I now have the following entry:
{Name(Account Update);Name_2(Account Update);Name_3(Account Update)}
but it doesn't seem to work. After my import and update of the account (which ends successful) the value in "Company" is only the value of the first name field.
Is it possible to combine values?
What exactly does it do, when I choose more than one field in the Form Assistant and say OK?
So at last I figured out how to archive it.
With the "Form Assistant" you can combine or add multiple field values to one new field but it is a bit tricky.
The value in the process update the properies have to look like this:
{Name(Account Update)} {Name_2(Account Update)} {Name_3(Account Update)}
BUT
It does not work if you enter this as text, you have to add the fields one after another so that they are recognized as fields (and marked yellow).
Click into the field (here: "Company").
Then choose the first field in the Form Assistant. Click "Add", choose it in the list below and click "OK". Now the field is in the field "Company".
Now go behind the end of the text in the field make a space and then choose and add the second field (clear the list in the Form Assistant before so that now only the second field is in the list)
So it's right if it looks like:
{Name(Account Update)} {Name_2(Account Update)}
Wrong if looks like following (happens when you keep the first field in the list before adding the second with "OK")
{Name(Account Update);Name_2(Account Update)}

Jdeveloper query form

I'm trying to create an adf query panel with table but I need to limit the search values as also the result values in the table.
For example:
- I have a table with FName, LName, Dateofbirth, address, phone
- I want that the values presented in the search form are FName, Lname
- the values in the result table Fname, Lname, address, phone
I've checked several links including this one enter link description here
But I can't understand how to limit the values.
There are lot of resources available on the internet on how to implement search functionality in ADF. here are few for your reference:
http://www.baigzeeshan.com/2010/04/creating-simple-search-form-in-oracle.html
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAWSfO-7xR8
http://adfnote.blogspot.com/2013/02/create-simple-search-form-in-oracle-adf.html
Normally a search functionality is implemented using a View Critreia, which is created on a View Object. It shows up in Data Control as a Named Criteria under your View Object instance.
While creating the view criteria you can specify the items that you would want to see in the panel as search fields.
When you use (drag and drop) your view criteria as an 'ADF Query Panel with Table' on a page, you get the option to specify the columns you want to see in the results table. You can restrict the number of columns there, or even afterwards by just removing the unwanted columns from your page.
I was able to make it work, by not checking the attribute option 'Queryable'.
This way the it does not appear in the query form,only in the results table.
Thank you all for your help

ASP.NET MVC2 CategoryTree Routing

I have in SQL DB table:
Categories:
int CategoryID
int ParentID
string Name
I want make link somelike this : localhost://(Name)/(Name)/(Name) and the last (Name) is selected category.
Real example: localhost://Sports/Vodni-Polo/Balls
Problem: in DB is name of category Vodni-Polo is Vodní pólo. On link creating i translate name to SEO link shape (Vodni-Polo).
How i can get category id wihout sending extra get parametr (Sports/Vodni-Polo/Balls/?categoryId).
I get Full tree of category from DB all time, but i must know witch items i can display it.
What i want: If i click at category, send GET req.(localhost://Sports/Vodni-Polo/Balls) a from this i want know whot id have (Balls)
You can make the Name a Unique key so you can query by it and guarantee uniqueness. Alternatively a common solution is to do something like {controller}/{action}/{Name}-{Id}

asp.net mvc 2, select content by routing string

I am having trouble to what i should name this in the title field...
Question is. I want to select a blogpost by entering its title, like this:
http://localhost:3254/blog/2010/10/net-programming
The title of the blogpost should be ".net programming". So i have setup a route to look for a year a month and finally a string. But how should i save this in the database to be able to search for it?
Should i add a field, like id, that contains asp-programming? or should i parse the title for every search? or should i convert the title and then convert it back before displaying it to the user?
The standard method is to create a separate column in the database (usually called 'slug' or permalink) that stores the html-friendly name that may be used by Urls. Then, if the title of the post changes you would normally keep the slug the same so that anyone who has bookmarked the link can still find the post. The value us usually defaulted from the blog title, replacing spaces with - and removing any non url friendly characters.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slug_%28web_publishing%29
There are two possible solutions I can think of
Create your own Route handler and within its code, search for the actual record in the database
Create an action method in a Controller that accepts a string parameter and call that parameter id (or whatever the default is in your MapRoutes method).

Submitting form custom module

I have a question regarding drupal 6 forms.
I have 4 tables:
location[locationid, name];
package[packageid, name],
person[personid, name, locationid, address, etc...]
pickup[pickupid, personid, packageid, locationid, _pickup_day_,...].
I've made forms and form_submit for the three tables: location, package, person (simple CRUD as usual).
Now, I want to make a form to submit data into the "pickup" table. The twist is, the only
data the user needs to input is the "pickup_day" field, which can be 1 or 0 (monday or tuesday).
So I imagine when I go to the pickups url, I'll see a list of output fields:
firstname | lastname | location | pickup day | package type
first1 last1 church1 select box (monday/tuesday) select box (type1/type2/type3)
first2 last2 church1 select box (monday/tuesday) select box (type1/type2/type3)
first3 last3 church1 select box (monday/tuesday) select box (type1/type2/type3)
[submit button]
When its submitted, the data goes into "pickup" table.
I'm trying to figure how to render the select boxes while outputting person's information.
(Just an aside, would it be possible to have a search before seeing the form...for example I search for
location to be church1, then I'll see all the users at that location in a form as above)
All help is very much appreciated...even pointing to a module that does something similar to this is fine...
I just need to get some hints on how people have approached this. Much thanks!
End goal:
So, basically, I have a number of people in my database. Each person is assigned a location where they can go and pickup food. I want to record each pickup for each week for each person. So I have a pickups table to do that. So I'm trying to make a single form (pickups), where I can go to and update who picked up what...on what day (Monday or Tuesday). But so in this form, I need to show all the people registered for a particular location. So lets say a person is registered for a church called Church 1...I want to search for the Church 1 location, then all the people who are registered for that location comes up row by row. Then I can select which day each person picked up food and what type of food they picked up...and click submit. Then I'll run a query against my database to add this information.
The big deal I guess is that instead of making a form for each person (for each row), I just make one form and when the form is submitted everyone will be added to the "pickup" table with the appropriate day and item they picked up.
I would suggest you look at the form API's built-in AHAH support. You can find more information here: http://api.drupal.org/api/drupal/developer--topics--forms_api_reference.html/6#ahah. Assuming I understand your question correctly, this is a fairly typical ajax/ahah form situation; an element in your form triggers the creation of new form elements.
For example, you can create a select box of locations. Once a location is selected (#ahah['event'] => 'change'), you can make a callback to a menu location (#ahah['path'] => path/to/callback) which can generate the new form elements to add, in this case select boxes for the persons and/or packages associated with that location.
You could also do something similar using search instead of a select element.
