I am using wordpress WordPress 4.1.1 with Hueman Theme Version: 1.5.4. When I installed and configured AddThis for WordPress plugin Version 4.0.7. I started seeing
+-*
in the beginning of every post excerpt on home page of my website. On post page everything seems fine. Not sure what to do. When I disable the plugin it goes of but when I enable it again it comes back. website: fossbytes.com
The plugin is not rendering the share buttons correctly (under the excerpt). For a quick fix install an older version https://wordpress.org/plugins/addthis/developers/
4.0.3 has corrected the issue for me.

I have just installed Elementor on a Wordpress site but the design tools menu on the page editor contain Chinese symbols instead of the usual symbols. I have deleted the Elementor plugin and copied the folder from another Wordpress site which works OK, but this copy also shows the symbols in the new site.
It looks like a third-party conflict. Try deactivating your third-party plugins and then check by activating one plugin at a time. If this solve your issue. And, check your site language as well. If still it does not resolve the issue, I would advice to connect with Elementor Support Team
I have recently set up a new website with WPBakery page builder however the backend editor is not displaying. I only get the options to edit content under the "Visual" or "Text" tabs and there is no option for a block editor (please see screenshot linked # bottom). I have installed the "Classic Editor" plugin which has resolved this for me on other websites however it does not appear to make a difference.
Has anyone else had this issue / found a solution? I am running WPBakery page builder plugin v.6.1 and Wordpress v.5.5.1.
Cheers,
M.

ANOTHER SOLUTION
The ultimate solution [fix] for WPBakery Page Builder under WP 5.5
Now, if nothing of the above have worked for you. The only thing left to consider is to actually downgrade your WordPress 5.5 back to say the last stable version which currently in 5.4.2.
There are basically two methods to downgrade the WordPress. You can download the WordPress 5.4.2 distribution package and install over the current, by uploading and extracting the archive on your hosting. But that’s the worst case scenario. So, here is the most simple and hassle-free option:
Download and activate the plugin WP Downgrade.
Go to the plugin settings (Settings -> WP Downgrade) and input the version 5.4.2 and click Save changes.
The page will refresh and suggest you to go to the Dashboard -> Updates. There you need to click on Re-install to version 5.4.2
Done!
Facing the Same issue. WordPress 5.7.2.
I just deactivate the Essential Grid plugin and It's working fine.
I hope it works for you too.
I am on 5.7.2 version, and WPBakery is acting weird, so I disabled my plugins and activated one at a time. I found out that the Essential Grid Plugin is the culprit, I disabled it, and the issue gone. I hope they will fix this soon.
You can go to WK Bakery Page Builder > Role Manager > Post Types and see if it is enabled for the post type you are trying to edit.
I installed the official Wordpress AMP plugin on the blog running the latest version of WP and noticed that while for some of the older posts AMP version gets generated just fine, for newer posts it just doesn't work. When I try to reach amp version by adding /amp to the URL, the page only gets reloaded to the original. The original posts that do not work also do not include link rel="amphtml" to the amp version in the source.
At first I thought that Yoast SEO plugin is causing problems with URL rewrites and I also installed Glue for Yoast and AMP to fix the compatibility, but the problem remains. I could not find a pattern that differs the posts that work from the ones that do not, only that the working posts are older.
An example of a post with working AMP: Here
An example of a post with non-working AMP: Here
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
I have checked amp version of your site and it seems that both URLs are working fine. Are you still facing the issue?, then you may try using other amp plugins to see if the problem exist or not.
AMP is quite new in the market so there are can be lot of possibilities for this problem.
I just installed Advanced Custom Fields on my wordpress site.
However i cant find the edit screen on the dashboard to create new ACFs or edit them.
Anybody know why it isnt showing?
The wordpress is a fresh install of the newest version as of today. Same goes for AFC
Wordpress version: 3.5.1
AFC version: 3.5.8.1
A good start before installing a plugin is to check the compatibility with the WordPress version.
For this go to the plugin page
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/advanced-custom-fields/
At the right you can check compatibility:
Requires: 3.0.0 or higher
Compatible up to: 3.5.0
At the bottom right you can also select a WordPress version and a plugin version too see if it works (from users feedback).
The plugin developer is reworking the code so that it complies with WordPress' new terms/privacy.
The plugin code that is in the WordPress repository (aka: if you go to install the plugin through your admin area) DOES NOT work.
But if you go to his github page, you can download the latest working version of the plugin. Upload the .zip file to install the plugin, and that will give you the latest working version.

I can't upload files in my wordpress dashboard uploading page, it noticed that "JQuery is not defined", it seems that all pages which include jquery doesn't work, not only uploading page, just in chrome and firefox, however, my friend logged in in to my dashboard, all that's normal. I'm not sure that it's caused by my theme or browser. I try to reinstall chrome and WordPress, It doesn't even matter.
Did you update your Wordpress to a new version ? I got the same issue after an upgrade to 3.5 version.
There was a conflit between the version of JQuery in my theme and the one in Wordpress. Try to upgrade Jquery. It works for me :)
