ITHit webdav EditDoc js not working in ios browsers - webdav

We have used ITHit ajax library to open documents from browser using EditDocument javascript method. (ITHit.WebDAV.Client.DocManager.EditDocument)
All works fine in desktop browsers.(Safari/Chrome/IE/Firefox)
But when we try from IPhone/IPad browsers, the javascript method is invoked but the document opening is not triggered.

Even though the IT Hit WebDAV Ajax Library runs both in mobile and desktop web browsers, it supports document editing in desktop web browsers only.
It is using components installed by Microsoft Office (in case of MS office docs and if MS Office is found) or Java applet in all other cases to mount a drive and than to open a document. Unfortunately iOS, Android and Win Phone does not provide drive mounting capabilities.
Many mobile applications has built-in WebDAV support. For example here you can find how to open documents in iWork on iOS.

Alternative solution for ActiveX with Chrome

I have a .NET web app that is served to our end users via Citrix using IE11. The web app uses an ActiveX control in the browser to get access to the Citrix client details, ie, it's environment variables.
This allows the browser to automatically identity the terminal that the web app is running from and adapt its behaviour to suit that particular terminal.
For various reasons, we need to remove IE11 and switch to Chrome for our browser, which lacks ActiveX.
I'm not an expert with Citrix and I am open to alternative modern solutions that avoids ActiveX and lets the Chrome browser access the Citrix client details.

I am developing an app and would like cordova functionality when using the browser as well in this case spesifically chrome

Want to be able to deploy my app to Firebase and use Cordova functionality in the browser. Get an error that cordova_not_available when opening the firebase website.
To be able to run Cordova on the browser in this case chrome in the first place I added the browser platform to my project and the use the Cordova run command instead of serve.
But when I deploy to the website I get the Cordova not available error
You can use the cordova-browser platform to run in any modern browser. More info
Now, when you run for a browser, you need to keep in mind to
include cordova.js in your index.html
include plugins which also support a browser platform. (most plugins support ios and android, so heads up on this)
Device plugin is one such plugin which supports a browser platform.
Have a look at this video on how you can configure and run device
plugin with Cordova on chrome.
Specific to your case, more chances that you get the error cordova not available is because you might have missed adding cordova.js to your index.html file.
Cordova functionality is only available in Cordova, not in a standalone browser. See https://forum.ionicframework.com/t/pwa-how-to-access-cordova-plugins-in-pwa-web-applications/147575
Firebase Hosting hosts web sites, not Cordova apps. The latter are run as native apps on your device, providing extra native functionality to your JavaScript code. A lot of that functionality is these days also available directly in browser APIs, but it may have a different form there. You'll have to look at each piece of functionality in turn, and possibly reimplement it using native APIs for the web platform.

Meteor for non-internet mobile app

I am developing a mobile app for iOS, Android, Windows mobile in Javascript and try to select in between Meteor and Backbone. The app will not include internet connectivity functionality. This app needs to store data on the device, not on a remote server.
I am a newbie in Meteor and have some experience with Backbone, and I am a developer with a strong inclination to having a one tool, ok least minimum number of tools, for deploying to every platform.
I need to write my app in a single code base, and deploy to 3 platforms iOS Android, Windows Mobile.
The Reactive nature and package management of the Meteor attracts me to itself from Backbone.
Is Meteor a suitable tool for developing non-internet connecting mobile apps for those platforms iOS Android, Windows Phone?

Google Earth Map Plugin not works in desktop application

I developed a web page, which displays a google earth map and hosted in an iis server. Now, I want to invoke that page in a browser control through a vb.net desktop application.
When i run the application, the browser control shows 'Your browser does not support the Google Earth Plugin'. But, at the same time, the web page is getting displayed in the chrome browser without any error in the client systems. Also, the desktop application works properly in the server system.
Kindly suggest what could be the reason for the plugin not works in desktop application.
Windows XP & 7
Google Chrome Version 34.0.1847.137 m
Thanks
Sivakumar
It could be that the webbrowser control is using the 64bit version of Internet Explorer, hence the GEPlugin wont work.
To fix this simply compile your vb.net desktop application to target 'x86' rather than 'anyCpu'.

As #Dai mentioned in the comments above, Windows Mobile 6.x is now unsupported (and hardly used by anyone). To create apps for Windows Phone (7.x and 8), check out Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows Phone (it's FREE). It has everything you need to get started creating apps for Windows Phone - http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/eng/products/visual-studio-express-for-windows-phone
Also check out dev.windowsphone.com for sample code, videos, blogs, and more. This is where you also go to sign up for a developer account that allows you to publish your app (this is typically $99/year although if you pay enough attention to the Windows Phone ecosystem, you can almost always find several contests running where you can win a developer token giving you a free year).
One last note... if you're interested in creating HTML-based apps for Windows Phone, you might check out PhoneGap. It allows you to create cross-platform, HTML5-based apps that are hosted within a native app shell (i.e. hybrid apps) - http://phonegap.com/
