I have installed recently QT5 along with QT Creator 2.7.0 in my Ubuntu16 machine.
From the first moment I started to use QT Creator I noticed this problem, I can see correctly the menu bar with all the voices "File,Edit,Build,Debug,Analyze,Tools,Window,Help", my problem is that whenever I click on one of these menus the drop down menu is completely blank and doesn't display the all the options in it.
I am wondering if someone already had the same issue as me and what was the solution in your case.
Many thanks in advance to all for the help.
Attached an image that shows the problem described.
Please consider to upgrade to a more recent version. Qt Creator is at version 4.1 right now and 4.2 is close.
resolved installing from apt qtcreator (version 3.5.2) and qt5-default.
I'm using Qt Creator for several months now and from time to time, I get a problem dragging widgets like buttons, line edits and so from the toolbox to the window.
I try by removing the layouts but still get the same issue.
I use Qt Creator 2.4.0 on OS X 10.7.2
Thanks for helping
I fixed this problem by upgrading Qt Creator to version 2.4.1 on OS X
The solution described above by #spyke might also be helpful for Windows users.
It case there is a dead link, the solution for Windows says :
I was using Qt Designer for Qt Jambi built with Qt 4.6.4 on Windows 7 ×64 when this problem occurred. After a while I realized that the problem was not only in Qt designer, but in Windows in general: Explorer, FileZilla and more.
The solution was then found by searching for general Windows 7 drag and drop problems [answers.microsoft.com].
In short: Select a file in Windows Explorer with click and hold left mouse button. While holding the button down, hit the Esc key. Then drag and drop starts working again.

Xcode 4 Archive Version Unspecified
Hi,
I'm archiving an application for iPad adhoc deployment but when I try to share the archive, the option for ipa construction is not available. The application I'm trying to deploy was created using XCode 3. It worked perfectly fine over there.
My problem seems to be, that the created archive has two missing values. The organizer shows the value of "version" as "unspecified" and the value "identifier" is empty. I tried setting this values in my info.plist and in the Info-tab in the project settings. None of it worked.
So why are these values not correctly set?
Here is a screen shot:
Your Xcode project probably references one or more other Xcode projects for shared libraries that your project requires. Go through the Xcode projects for each of those shared libraries, and set each target's "Skip Install" build setting to "Yes". Then rebuild your archive. Organizer should now let you create your .ipa.
This is the message while trying to run under XCode 4 (it used to work under XCode 3):
No provisioned iOS devices are available. Connect an iOS device or choose an iOS simulator as the destination.
I have profiles for my device for this app... where should I be looking to correct this?
The problem is that your iOS Deployment Target in Project-> Build Settings is different from the current version of iOS on your real device.
You're asking where to find it:
In XCode 4 there is a new button - look for the big
"Organizer button"
which is at the TOP RIGHT.
Physically connect your device and then click Devices. It seems that the new "Organizer button" is one of the "most-missed" things in the transition to XCode4.
Note, the questioner is asking: "WHERE should I be looking to correct this?"
I was having extra trouble because of my Enterprise License, but still updated the iPads. I didn't have to change anything in the Build Settings to lower. But the main thing that I had a problem with was in the Organizer I needed to hit "Use for Development" button.
Kind of an old post, and may not be the best way or a rookie thing to miss but wanted to help anyone out.
My problem similar to those above were related to having the deployment target set too high for the version installed on the phone. Would be nice if it gave a more useful error message. I spent hours messing with my provisioning profile trying to fix it, when the real problem was the older version of the software on the phone.
I had the same problem. The reason was simply, that my ipad had not been update to version 4.3.
This just happened to me for iOS5 with xcode 4.2.
The answer is to go into organiser, select your device, and press the "Develop with this device" button (or similar wording).
Then go back and build, and it should work..
I received this error while having an iPad properly connected.
Some info:
Ipad iOS version: 4.2.1
XCode 4.2
XCode project created with "iOS Application / Empty Application" template.
The problem was that I had to specify the "iOS Deployment Target" to 4.2 in more than one place!
That is, both in the "Build Settings" and in the "Summary".
Very odd, and definitely another XCode4 annoyance.
I got this error in Organizer - "Could not support development.". I tried rebooting the iOS device and it worked for me :)
Check that the Executable File (also known as CFBundleExecutable) in the Info.plist file is set to ${EXECUTABLE_NAME} as opposed to any hardcoded value. This will ensure that even if you change your project name or target name or scheme name, that it still works.
you need to install the proper version of iOS.in my case it is iOS 4.0 - 4.1 Device Debugging Support
GOTO --> XCode Preferences -> Downloads --> Component
there are all updates available for your iOS click Install.
This is works for me.
It looks like this error can also come about if the "Product Name" in your target's build settings does not match the value of "CFBundleExecutable" in your info.plist
It looks like to me this is the general error Apple gives if the executable is not installed correctly on the device. When the debugger tries to attach it looks for the executable name and if it's not there they give this error. Touch one to debug.
Go to build option and select valid compiler.
Chose your right iOS Deployment version
I was curious if anyone knew of a way to get VI/VIM key bindings in Flash Builder 4. I know that I can just edit the files in VIM directly, but as I am just getting started in Flex - I would prefer to use the IDE until I get my feet about me.
I am running Flash Builder 4 on OSX Snow Leopard.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I haven't used Flash Builder 4, but I am under the impression it is basically a plugin for the Eclipse IDE. If this is the case, then the easiest way to get Vim key bindings might be to install the Vrapper plugin. The site for the plugin is: http://vrapper.sourceforge.net/home/
The site provides links that can be
used within Eclipse to install the
plugin. I'd probably start with this
one:
http://vrapper.sourceforge.net/update-site/stable
To install the plugin from within the
IDE, click the Help menu, then
"Install New Software..."
In the "Work with:" text box, insert
the link provided by the site.
In the table presented below the
text box Vrapper should appear
which a checkbox next to it.
Check the checkbox and click next.
You should now be able to click the
Finish button and the plugin should
be installed. You will probably be
prompted to restart the IDE. I would
do so.
Upon restart, there will probably be
a vim icon on the toolbar that you
can use to enable/disable the Vrapper
plugin. If there isn't, you should
still be able to enable/disable it
through Edit->Toggle Vrapper.
You may also want to check out http://eclim.org/ which rather than emulate Vim, allows it to be used directly with Eclipse in several ways. I think Vrapper is probably closer to what you are looking for at the moment, but eclim might be useful to you in the future.
Hope this helps.
