Now that Chrome for Android is released, any hope for a Google Earth
plugin for either Chrome or Android browsers? Please, no silly
responses like "what's wrong with standalone GE" (clearly you have no
concept of cool GE mashups like this: http://sharemytrail.com ) or
"you can't make a plugin in an Android browser" (We are creating them
for the Android browser right now.) I could understand
that it's too resource-intensive for last year's devices...

We are using webspeech(https://www.drupal.org/project/webspeech) module for text-to-speech in one of our project. Basic functionality is working fine. But when we open this site in mobile devices (samsung, apple, sony) TTS feature is not working and no error is also being displayed.
We have tried to debug the problem but not able to do so.
Any help will be much appreciate.
If you read the module requirements it says specifically
Flash 9+ is required on client web browser. Modern browsers those
support HTML5 may also work but not guaranteed.
I see you opened an issue with the maintainer, which will probably be your best source of information, but it looks like you might be hit or (mostly) miss on mobile devices for now.
Im currently editing a Wordpress theme called explorable (http://elegantthemes.com/preview/Explorable/)
The final site will be hosted on a windows 8 touch screen device and will be an interactive map.
I am having a few problems with the touch screen mechanics and decided to use google chromes built in, Emulate touch events feature. However I can't seem to drag the map at all unless I have the iphone/ipad user agent also ticked.
I checked the documentation and drag is enabled by default so I'm not sure why this is turned off for desktop, this might also be the reason why I cant get drag to work on the windows8 box.
Not sure if Im missing something thing obvious or not, or that I just need to declare a setting when the map is initiated.
Any help would be appreciated.

This issue was handled in the bug

and was solved in version 3.27 of Google Maps JavaScript API in December 2016.
Turns out Google chrome does not support touch events very well on windows 8 touch devices. However IE10 does so I set the application to run on this browser.
For what i need the application to do this worked well, however this might not be the best solution for other people having trouble with touch actions on chrome in windows 8.
This is in fact a Google Map bug #6425.

However, When you visit https://developers.google.com/games > Web games or > Mobile Games, there's no reference to PlayN. You find Android development, which links to http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html. There's a Google Play Game Services (GPGS) too, that offers social features (achievements, multiplayer, leaderboard) for game development for Android, iOS and Web (http://developers.google.com/games/services). There are "Getting started" tutorials for GPGS for each platform (Android, iOS, Web). No PlayN, which compiles to these three platforms plus Java desktop.
So, is PlayN really supported by Google? Or was it once, and now the community is by itself?
Playn is a community supported project, and i suspect always will remain such. Google had a hand in making it, but their contribution recently has been waning. But it doesn't mean the project is dying or anything.
I'm evaluating Flex 4.5 for use as a mobile development platform. The demo version of the IDE supports android and promises to support iPhone development in future. There's no mention of Windows Phone 7. Usually, this is the sort of thing that google excels at but in this case, I've come up empty handed. I've found many contradictory reports of Adobe supporting WP7, then not supporting it, then supporting it but not in the initial release.
Has anyone come across any official announcements from Adobe on this? I understand that companies change their priorities and business relationships change so I'm not looking for a crystal ball, I'd just like to see the latest communication from Adobe on this is.
Flex 4.5 can currently be used on Android and iPhone, however WinPhone7 is kind of out of the loop for now. There has been some demos of it shown, but who knows when Microsoft/Adobe will work together to get Flash out on Internet Explorer mobile or get to having Air on WinPhone7.
I know personally that Adobe is aiming for it, but not sure how much of a priority it is since WinPhone7 is still an underdog in this arena. My feeling is that it will come, but not just yet.
Flex/Flash hass not been mentioned on any public timelines for Windows Phone 7.
I think it's safe to assume that you won't see it any time soon.
I am creating mobile application in asp.net webform targeting IPhone, Android and blackberry. I am using JQuery-Mobile for the same.

I don't have iphone, android and blackberry. So my questions are:
Best Simulator I can use on windows XP/ Windows Server 2008 for Iphone, Andriod and Blackberry
Also, when I am running the application on the browser it is looking wierd. I mean textbox size, buttons. Is this the way it looks on normal webpage or it's my faulty design?
As I am developing application in asp.net, do I need to install latest browser which support HTML5 and CSS3 because below browser is IE7.
An old IE is not the best choice to test the capabilities of a HTML5+javascript framework...
For daily basis it's quite ok to use Firefox or any WebKit based browser (chrome, safari ...)
Emulators are very helpful, but to be sure your product works well you will probably need to give it a try on an actual device. I have already seen some reports of problems that show up only when working with the real device.
A team that I do some JQM stuff for has bought a cheap old ipod touch for testing. It's the most demanding apple product you can get. It has the oldest browser, causes most problems and is the slowest. Best choice! :)

I'm sure Apple has one too - but I think you need to register as a iOS developer before you can get your hands on it. I believe using third-party iOS emulators is against Apple's policy.
