how to add google map in smart device application? - smartphone

I am developing smart device application. I want to know whether we need to implement the google map by using html form or window form? Can we add both the static map and dynamic google map in smart device mobile application? Can u provide me a hyperlink from which i will get step by step description of how to implement the google map in smart device application?

You can use either Google Static Maps API or Google Maps API version 3, which is optimized to be able to be used in mobile devices. If you want interactivity, use the Maps API v3. When you just want to show a static map, use the static api.
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/staticmaps/
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/v3/
From there you can get to the developer's guide, tutorial, and api reference.

Just came across this open topic. Did you have a look for the JavaScript API? You could embed this into your application.
Further information can be sound here:

Besides of that you can also use the HTTPRest interfaces for map display (common tiling schema), Routing, Geocoder etc.

OpenLayers + Google maps in Flex, is it possible?

Recently i really was amazed by openstreet maps, and it's very possibilities to manipulate data, aswell the free of charge about many prescious things - like geocoding and the maps itself.
But i wish to still having a backup behind with google maps.
Is it possible to having both of them in Flex, and how ?
( or at least where i can look for similar project of "unification" )
It appears that OpenStreet Maps has a REST API. You can access that API in a Flex application using the HTTPService; assuming a proper crossdomain.xml file is in place.
If not; you'll have to use a proxy between your Flex app and the REST API.
MapQuest has an Open Flash API that uses OpenStreetMap data. They also offer an Open Flash Mobile API that can be used with Flash Builder to build apps for the iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry tablet with the new tools in Flex 4.5+.
Feel free to check out the documentation on the MapQuest Developer Network!

Read the documentation for the drawing library included in version 3.7 of the maps API. Google is now providing this API as an add on library

Web Based Map application development

I am trying to develop a web based map application where the user can interact with the map. But I am new to this field and do not have much idea about how to approach this. Basically I want to use a static map created by me, so I think google map API s may not be used in this case. My development platform is unix. Can you please suggest what language I should use to write the server and also what kind of free tools can be used to implement the map part?
Thanx...
I suggest reading up on the Google Maps API 3. You can add overlays or even add your own tiles using the API. Specifically, I suggest looking into the GroundLayers section of the V3 API here GroundOverlays

Possible to use Google Maps API v3 without API Key?

I've got a Flex application that uses the Google Maps component. Is it possible to configure the component to use Google Maps API v3 without API Key? If not, is there a workaround to use the JavaScript API? Or a timeline for providing swc using Google Maps API v3?
I currently perform client-side geocoding using the Google Maps API v3 webservice, but I need to also display maps and allow user to interact with them.
Firstly, realize that the Javascript API and the Flash API are different API's.
I imagine that they will porting the no API key feature to the Flash API soon.
However, I have no used the Flash API in a while and Google may be moving away from maintaining it. It doubt that they will though. They have a lot invested in the Flash API.
