Good day!
I have a problem with my site. I have used wordpress as my cms on plesk. Now, I have accidentally pressed 'publish site' on the prensence builder in plesk after which, my wordpress site is overlapped with the site that has been made using presence builder in plesk. I have no idea on how to get my wordpress site back. How can i disable the ones on the presence builder? Can I get my wordpress site back without installing it back? I really want my wordpress site back. Thanks in advance.
SiteBuilder's publish button copy SB's site files into web root folder of your domain, for example /httpdocs/
And sitebuilder's index.html just overlaps WordPess's index.php.
So you can just rename /httpdocs/index.html in to something like /httpdocs/index-sitebuilder.html and you should see now your WordPress site.

When i uploaded my WordPress site to the web. I clicked a page from the menu and it redirect to localhost.
And i uploaded my hole new site to the web and my theme does not change?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
You need to run a search/replace on your database to replace the local domain with the live domain. Until you do that, all links on the live domain will redirect to the local domain.
This is a tool that can do that:
https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/
To use this, unzip and upload the directory to your web hosting root, and then visit newdomain.com/your-directory-name/index.php in a browser.
Back up your database before running this.
Delete this folder after you are finished as it is a major security issue if left there.
More detailed instructions are on that page.
More information on migrating a WP installation can be found in the codex:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress
I don't understand your question about the theme. You'll need to provide more details on that.
I have created a WordPress site (my first) but since moving the site to a new domain all the images and pages/posts are broken and return a 404 error. Ive ran search and replace but it doesn't seem to have worked.

Manual website migration is very difficult to do. So you can transfer your website in few minutes without any issues using duplicator plugin. you just need to installed the plugin and followed the installation wizard.
you can read or watch step by step video tutorial HOW TO CLONE WEBSITE TO NEW HOST USING WORDPRESS DUPLICATOR
Go to your dashboard, log in, go to settings.
Change the following:
Site Address
Wordpress Address
Save. That should work.
did you try save permalinks some times the problem happen because permalinks need update
other point if you can go to old site and use this plugin to move your site agin
https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
It turns out there were some issues with the httpd.conf file and httpaccess files. The permalinks and database details were correct. I got this outsourced in the end so not 100% sure what the issue was but I shall update this post with more info when I get it :)
I have a question. I have a Wordpress site that I built for a client and they were acquired and the company that bought them is shuttering the website and folding it into their existing site.
My website is based on Wordpress. I want to clone the client site and run a copy to show to potential new clients. If I have http://example.com and I wanted to put a Wordpress install inside of it at: http://example.com/demo/site or http://example.com/client_site. Is this possible? Are there any red flags or warnings that I should be worried about?
Thanks!
Yes you can do that, I have done this in serverwarrior It is an wordpress site and wooshop this is another wordpress site inside that.
Just extract the WordPress zip file inside the directory you are having your site wordpress and rename the new wordpress folder to any name you want.
I have a website built with Wordpress that has been having permalink issues. A few days ago, I had added a simple file, named qr.php, that I dropped in at the root level (where the wp-content and wp-upload folders reside). It has a script that redirect to pages outside of my website depending on what type of device the user is using. Basically, some one on a Apple device gets redirected to an itunes page, and droid user to the droid app store, etc.
Could this non Wordpress page be causing issues? I have had static or html pages in amonst my root level files before, and never had an issue. I feel like the redirects may change this.
Rather than using the qr.php(cutom redirect file) in your wordpress site. You can use a plugin which will help to redirect the external links.
Some of the plugins which might help you to achieve your purpose are Device Redirect - WordPress Phone &Tablet Redirect , RedirectPlus - Wordpress Mobile Redirect Plugin.
See the screenshots, try demo and check whether it fits your requirement.
No, it dont cause any issue with permalink..
I am also using a wordpress website : abc.com and a php based software integrated to admin folder on root.. And I can access easily abc.com and abc.com/newfolder/abc.php
I have a wordpress blog installed in folder example.com/blog and now I want to use wordpress as CMS so I need to move wordpress to the root, the pages need to be in the root like example.com/page1 but I want that my blog posts will stay on example.com/blog/ with the defaults permalinks, example.com/blog/?p=123
How I do it via the web.config file on windows server?
Unless I'm misunderstanding it, your best bet would to probably just keep two separate installations of wordpress.
