Is there a way to manually remove WCF LOB Adapter SDK - biztalk

While BizTalk 2013 Dev edition was installed, I have updated my PC to Windows 10. Now I updated to BizTalk 2013 R2 but I cant install WCF LOB Adapter SDK because it says "Another version is already installed". I can not remove WCF LOB Adapter SDK 2013 because I can't see it in Control Panel/Remove Programs either. I tried run WCF LOB Adapter SDK 2013 msi as well but same error occurs. msiexec /x does not work either.
So somehow I need to remove WCF LOB Adapter SDK 2013 and install WCF LOB Adapter SDK 2013 R2 without using msiexec or control panel or I need to make windows aware of already installed WCF LOB Adapter SDK 2013 and remove it from control panel.

if you have the installer you can just run it and choose remove, if not you'll need to download package from MS for the version of the LOB SDK that have installed, run the installer, and choose remove.

I had the same issue when I tried to install Microsoft WCF LOB Adapter SDK with Biztalk 2016.
What I did is simple :
1/ Performing a Silent Installation :
AdapterFramework.msi /quiet MUOPTIN=”Yes” (you should be an Administrator on the computer).
MUOPTIN=”Yes”|”No” is to indicate if the WCF LOB Adapter SDK should check for updates with Microsoft Update or not.
2/ That gives you the possibilty to see The WCF LOB Adapter in Add/Remove Programs, so you can delete it and do the things correctly (install each adapter in order) or install the other adapters directly after that.
Hope it will help.

Does IBM Database Add-Ins for Visual Studio support VS2019?

After scouting numerous articles and stack overflow for hours it seems that the IBM Database Add-Ins are not supported for Visual Studio 2019. Do correct me if I'm wrong.
Reasons for installing the Add Ins was to create entity classes in asp.net using web forms.
IBM Database Version : DB2 LUW 10.5
Reasons for the conclusions:
Installed the same fix packs for the IBM Data Server Driver Package as well as IBM Database Add-Ins for Visual Studio (Fix Pack 11) https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/3501195
Log Error Message : MSI (c) (98:58) [17:45:41:129]: Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: IBM Database Add-Ins for Visual Studio, Product Version: 10.5.1100.2866, Product Language: 1041, Manufacturer: Company Name, Installation Success or Error Status: 1603
If the add in does not support Visual Studio 2019 , what would be the best replacement for Entity Framework 6.0 in order to use with IBM Db2?
If the add in does support Visual Studio 2019 is there a workaround to the following problem?
To get paid support (from IBM) for Visual-Studio 2019 in Db2, you need to have the visual studio add in that comes with Db2 v11.5.
For Db2 V10.5, it supports up to Visual Studio 2013.
It does not mean it will not work with older Db2 versions, but when you have issues (which is very likely), you won't get much help from IBM unless you have the right versions. You might be able to devise workarounds in some cases, but why bother?
If you are paying for a licence for Db2, pay for the current version and get the relevant paid support included. If you are not paying (for example, you are using a community edition) then get the latest version anyway. There seems no genuine reason for using the (out of support) Db2 v10.5 build if you are trying to use it with Microsoft software that was developed long after Db2 v10.5 was created.
Here is the link to the page that shows Db2 v11.5 supports Visual Studio 2019.

Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine in VS2010 Only

'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine. I am getting this in visual studio only after upgrading from 32bit office 2013 to 64bit office 16. I have already installed the 64bit database engine and my published project from IIS is working with the existing access database. I switched debug mode to x64 and remove the references to the old office and replaced them with the new office access. How can I get Visual Studio 2010 to recognize my access database created in access 2013?
Things I have tried:
Installing Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable 64bit version.
Updating the office references in the project.
Debugging in x64 mode
This is a little outside of my normal area of database application design;
it's unclear - you state 2016 Office 64 bit installed but then Access 2010 Redistributable/Runtime 64bit - - so do you have a full license of Access installed?
if you do have the full Access license - try something that is quick: create a brand new database and import that table. Then try the link to this new db.
I had that issue in the past.
install 2007 Office System Driver and restart visual studio.
I've dealt many time with this problem, the solution was ever install one of these:
AccessDatabaseEngine 2007.exe
AccessDatabaseEngine_2010.exe
AccessDatabaseEngine_2016.exe
AccessDatabaseEngine_X64_2010.exe
AccessDatabaseEngine_X64_2016.exe
Most of the time I've solved installing the 2007 one even using 2016 version.
To run 32-bit applications on IIS, you will get the same error. So, from the IIS 7, right-click on the applications' application pool and go to "advanced settings" and change "Enable 32-Bit Applications" to "TRUE".
Restart your website and it should work.

BizTalk 2016 Oracle.DataAcces 4.121.1.0 not found, 2.112.4.0 installed

We recently changed to a new BizTalk version from 2010. We are trying to configure our first ReceivePort on it, but we are running into the error that seems to indicate that the version of the Oracle.DataAcces that is in the cache is very outdated.
I have been looking around but unfortunately, i am not an expert in how the GAC works so i haven't figured out how BizTalk selects which version to search for.
Would the solution be to Install a newer version of the Oracle Dataacces into the GAC? And is the Oracle Data adapter part of the BizTalk adapter pack? That Pack was pre installed on our server so it would be weird if it was the cause of the wrong version.
Edit: The ODAC we installed claims to be the version 4 one (in the read me and download link) but doesn't seem to be the one in the cache.
You MUST install Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for Enterprise Application. if you are using the same box that you used for BTS 2010, then Uninstall, the Old Adapter pack, and install the new one from BTS Media.

Do not see BizTalk projects in VS 2010 Ultimate

I have a Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate installed on my local machine. I used it for c# development for quite some time.
Now I have a project for BizTalk development. When I click New Project I do not see the BizTalk project option.
What do I need to do to get BizTalk projects on my Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate?
You will need to download a version of BizTalk from Microsoft and install at least the developer tools and SDK. But usually you will want to do a complete install unless you already have a BizTalk Server you can deploy to for development purposes.
See this thread What do you need to develop in BizTalk
Step1:
Launch BizTalk Setup>Modify>Unselect 'Developer tools SDK'>Complete the installation.
Step 2:
Launch BizTalk Setup>Modify>Select 'Developer tools SDK'>Complete the installation.
After you have performed Step1 and Step 2, or you may have not Installed Developer Tools SDK then perform only Step 2.
Start>>Visual Studio 2010 >> Biztalk >> Biztalk Empty Project>> If you now see it then you can assume that your Developer Tools have been successfully installed.
