In PyCharm its possible to search for usages of a particular Function, to see where else it is being called in the application.
Is such thing also implemented in Aptana Studio 3.1.2 (PyDev)?
Yes, you can do Ctrl+Shift+G to find references. See: http://pydev.org/manual_adv_keybindings.html

I have been trying to execute R code on U-SQL using the R extensions mentioned in the documentation (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-lake-analytics/data-lake-analytics-u-sql-r-extensions).
When I try to execute the example scripts mentioned in the link above, it throws the error:
C# error CS1739: The best overload for 'Reducer' does not have a parameter named 'rReturnType'
And when I remove the rReturnType parameter I am unable to make sense of the output.
Are there any other Extension.R parameters which will serve the same purpose?
Which version of the extensions have you installed? if you installed them some while ago, the parameters of the libraries may have changed and be out of date with the documentation. I am pinging the owner of the documentation page to make sure that the docs are in sync with the latest released version.
UPDATE: I checked and the documentation is aligned with the latest version. Please go to the ADLA Portal and reinstall the U-SQL Extensions. Please make sure that you read up on the release notes in case you or someone else uses the older version.
I found a code example in the webs, that solves a current problem of mine by using the the os process module.
(use-modules (os process))
That's cool, except I don't have that module, and don't know where and how to get it.
Can you help?
(I use Guile 2.0, on Debian.)
The module/library you are looking for is called "Guile Library" (guile-lib) and is introduced here (nongnu.org)
The function run-with-pipe is documented here and the library may be downloaded here.
Recently I moved from NetBeans to GitHub Atom editor. How can I access properties and functions of classes in the editor?
I use a mix with the symbol gen and symbols view packages. First one very good about generating ctag file for your project and second one for inspect code and jump to the definitions of tags. Also, it supports Show all symbols in current file future. It have to show for you the members and properties of your classes.
In short: after installation open a work directory with your project and try alt + cmd + g, wait several seconds, ctags file generating now for you and after that cmd + r and just start typing any part of a method or property in the input.
In addition to all the previous answers, I would recommend you to check Atom's package goto-definition, with its optional "performance mode" (which requires you to install ripgrep).
goto-definition will allow you to find and access properties and
functions/classes definitions even if they are not written in the same file. In combination with ripgrep, goto-definition is extremely fast, and you will not have to wait for file indexing within your project.
If you are referring to the members of a Java class (which I assume, since you've used NetBeans before), then this is currently not supported in Atom.
Atom is a (fairly simple) editor that allows you to edit text files, while full-blown IDEs (Integrated Development Environments) like Eclipse, NetBeans or IntelliJ IDEA have full language support including running, debugging and browsing Java class information. It might be better to stick with one of the IDEs I mentioned if you are looking for this kind of functionality.
Having said that, there's the https://atom.io/packages/atom-ctags package, which supposedly can show some meta information about classes you're working on. It's primarily for C++, although it might work for Java as well (I haven't tried).
I just started looking into TideSdk and noticed that when I "compile" (or package) a project (in Win-7), I get all of these dependecies which is actually the un-compiled source code for the app.
Is there any way to:
Have Tide SDK package a file to one executable
Not have the source code visible in any way, shape, or form in the final executable?
If none of those are possible, is there an alternative that can to these things?
We are working on a solution. There are a few possibilities. The only thing that is possible currently is to obfuscate your code using google closure library through a tidebuilder option.
I found this on google when trying to do something similar. It is annoying but seems to work.

I use the application virtualization app Cameyo for this purpose. http://www.cameyo.com/
when i open .mxml flex file in eclipse it gives error
Could not open the editor: Assertion failed:
Does any one know about it
First of all you can give which operating System and version, IDE version, Flex plugin version, detail of error message. You can try ;
Check eclipse and flex plugin version compatibility if you use flex plugin. (If you use Linux operating system flex plugin compatible with eclipse 3.3 ide if not You can try to install flex plugin on eclipse 3.3 if you use 3.4 or 3.5 and so on)
You can download full package of flex ide instead of flex plugin on eclipse
I think its better to stop searching when you are in Flash and Linux. Here in this link its very much transparent. I tried all the fix provided out there, nothing did really worked what new comers are looking for.
Details: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flex/flexbuilder_linux/releasenotes.html#sysreq
Note: GUI will never work, which we are thinking and Autocomplete etc will also not work. So Flash and Linux is actually useless and time lose. The best thing is keep reporting Adobe for this. Because they are counting our Linux Vote.
Try changing your current workspace to another one, it helped in my case.
If you have disabled asking for workspace at startup you can change it here:
Window > Preferences > General > Startup and Shutdown
I just got the same error, after moving my project to a new computer. Turns out the build paths needed to be changed in the new computer. After updating those it seemed to fix the problem.
I struggled with this a couple of hours: my own "solution" to this was that I had Eclipse Galilieo / Weblogic 10.3.2 / Windows 7 set up correctly, but was accidently opening an old Eclipse Helios install pointed to the same projects. In other words yes, its likely a slight path difference or a new name for an updated resource along one of your paths. "assertion failed" is such a generic exception that you could get with so many different softwares, that I thought this input wouldnt hurt...
