I'm currently using the Sencha Ext.ux.TouchGridPanel, and I need to know how to add it to a Panel dynamically. Currently, I set up a store, then use a function to generate the Panel. I then use
myPanel.add(myTouchGridPanel);
This displays the toolbar and headings of the Panel, but not any of the information within it. Making the TouchGridPanel fullscreen works, but then the animations are sloppy.
If the component is working correctly, perhaps the panel you are inserting it into is not the size you expect it to be?
Or maybe the GridPanel is not stretching to the size of the panel, in which case, you should add a fit or card layout to the panel, so it fits to the size of that panel.
If neither of these two things work, I suggest you open up web inspector and look at the dom of your panel - and see what the size of it is, and if the grid is actually being added to it or not.

I'm not sure if this makes much sense, since those buttons are needed for the functionality of the QToolBox. If you want a stack of widgets for which you can manually control if they are shown or not, then QStackedWidget provides similar functionality without displaying any elements of its own.
edit: No, as the QToolBox it doesn't come with a scrollbar. But since you 'fill' it with widgets of your own, which then are displayed with setCurrentWidget, you can use for example QScrollArea and placing your own widgets inside it.
Attached is the screenshot of the UI that I would like to have in my app. When I click on the listitems on the fragment on the left side I see a arrow pointing(question mark in red) on the list item which was clicked, I would like to know how can we achieve this in UI layout. Any special settings to be set?
I was looking at the same feature.
To implement similar, I'd suggest showing an image on the selected item in the list, this would require code rather than Layout XML, It would be controlled by the list fragment when an item is selected. That way you get the visual effect that the two fragments are related via the arrow image.
Did you end up giving it a go for yourself?
In few words: I need panel that works like Visual Studio panels (for example Solution Explorer) with 'Auto Hide' turned on.

I'm searching for docking panel in ASP.NET that can be docked to any edge of its parent programatically - for example dock it to left border (I don't need to change it manually in browser). Then it is minimalized to title only and after mouse hover it is expanded without resizing its parent - it should be displayed over parent panel.
Do you know any component that works in this way?

I have created a component using panel. By Default it is draggable(using the title bar). How Can I disable the panel dragging.
That is weird cause the standard Panel component in flex doesn't move automatically. You probably used some customized version of it or used the popUpManager. If so check this. Some code of your project would be helpful.
Create a Group Component and Place the panel inside with and height as 100%.
Then your panel Wouldnot be a draggable one.
I have a bit of doubt regarding my application which is being created using Mate framework. The first thing user has to do is to log in, so I created Login.mxml view. After a successful login I need to display the main view with applicationControlBar at the top and a workspace below. At the moment I have two separate views, so if I understand correctly it makes sense using ViewStack.
Thing is, I'd like also to display some kind of panel with buttons on top of the workspace after login - here is screenshot. After clicking on a button the panel should dissapear. To complicate things a little bit more, there is a possibility for this panel to change state. Clicking on a specific button may result in showing progress bar at the bottom of panel.
I feel I should create separate view, MenuDialog.mxml and put there buttons, progress bar and states, but how to display it on the top of the workspace? I hope my problem is clear enough :)
I would make the panel a popUp, with the main application (or the ViewStack's parent container) as the parent of the popUp. You can use the PopUpManager Class to close it based on user actions within the Panel.
Assuming that perhaps you do not want a modal login style panel (which many apps these days eschew) then you should absolutely use states rather than ViewStacks.
States are a much cleaner way to distinguish the various, uh, states that your UI can be in -LOGGED_IN, LOGGED_OUT, etc.
It may take a little to get used to working with states, but once you do, you'll never go back. :-)
